Crossover Volume 1: Kids Love Chains

I absolutely adored this collection of the new Donny Cates series. Brilliant, superb and very very clever.

Very cool idea, and will continue to follow, but the sheer number of references and tilting towards what are very clearly cool scenarios the author wanted to being to life put it at risk of 'Ernest Cline Syndrome' where storytelling and characterization are drowned in reference fantasy after reference fantasy.
