The sardines do not brake down as they are taken out of the can
They are the best sardines I have tasted in the longest time. I have eaten sardines for many , many years and sometimes they are small and other times they brake in small pieces as I take them out of the can . These instead are big (usually 3 or 4 in a can) the whole body, perfect. The extra virgin olive oil is not strong, just very good. The slice of lemon gives them a better taste. I recommend them very highly.

Some of the best
Some of the best sardines I've had. Very fresh, light flavor. I thought they were a bit pricey but better than most when it comes to flavor. I would like to say I will order again but between the time I ordered these and receiving them, they went up another $3.00 !

Very good sardines!
I use these sardines in a sandwich. I mix them with mayonnaise, etc, like a tuna salad. I am pretty selective about fish. These are a good source of the nutrients we need from fish. Plus, are wild caught, not farmed.

Good, just not a brisling double layer Crown Prince replacement
When ordering these, I tried to read the box pic and description looking for how many and what size sardines are within. I didn't find a clear statement, so I ordered anyway since the local prices for Crown Prince brislings have skyrocketed. Why all the concern over size? I usually dislike the commercial packaged large sardines as they seem to have off flavors, bones more solid than not, fins and slimy sections of skin. Those large sardines packed in the strong flavor sauces seem to be the ones that need the sauces to mask their less palatable features, I dislike even more.Inside my first can of these sardines were three quite large well cleaned sardines. Not as oily looking, smoky smelling or saliva inducing as my preferred brislings.Waste not, want not; I rather grimly dug in and I was pleasantly surprised. The fish were cleaned well, bones were virtually nonexistant, flavor was light, almost fresh. Fresh dried sardines are still better at this size, but these were darn good. Instead of putting a sardine on a cracker I would put a chunk of sardine meat on the cracker instead. Quite good.I'd prefer a little more smoke flavor. But until I find a good source for naturally smoked double layer brislings these will certainly do.

Yummy
I really love these. After trying many different brands I decided that this is my favorite. They are soft and fresh-tasting, and also come with lots of liquid. They are also from domestically caught fish, and even though canned in Asia, the cans are BPA-free which is not common in the industry. The lemon juice helps a great deal with keeping your breath fresh (usually an issue with sardines) and the lemon slice found in each can is an added and very enjoyable bonus.

Delicious!
I love these sardines. I eat them with greens and veggies, and the lemon-tanged olive oil makes an awesome salad dressing. Highly recommended.

It tastes odd.
I wish I could have bought 1 can to know it tasted so odd. Do not buy.

Great Tasty Product!
After reading the reviews, I "subscribed" to set these up to receive MONTHLY! They are really tasty, and I drain the oil, then put a spoonful of dill relish and capers on them, topped of with a squirt of Sriracha HOT Chili Sauce ... sure makes a meal for me, ... along w/ cheddar cheese and crackers!! They ARE the best tasting ones right out of the can, if that's how you like them!I've tried all kinds of sardines and usually to takes 2 cans, but these satisfy me w/ one. I'm careful to watch where they come from, as those from the far east may come from "polluted" water.
