uflex VDO Marine 3-3/8" (85MM) VIEWLINE - Tachometer W/Multi

The product itself is benign enough. A tachometer gauge...how complicated can it be? You'll need an electrical engineering degree to program it, and a multitude of wire to sort through. Oh and there's one button that somehow needs to magically be in two places at the same time. (At least according to their wiring diagram). Maybe it's me...but this didn't need to be so complicated.When presented this information to the vendor, their efforts, albeit understandable were to help me get the product working. However, their return policy says, that if the product is not in "saleable" condition you'll have to pay a restocking fee, shipping all on your dime. Unfortunately, the act of "installing" it requires wires to be stripped and connected to get it to a point where you see it being functional. Thus eliminating any possibility of it being in the same condition as it was delivered.Horrible experience - don't buy this unless it's a direct replacement, as programming it yourself voids any possibility of a 100% refund.I'm now stuck with a pretty little gauge, which the only thing it'll gauge at this point, is how much of a paperweight it is.
