Isopods arrived alive and VERY well insulated. Currently using them for my Bioactive Bearded Dragon terrarium, looking forward to them adding to the pre-existing Giant Canyon population already inside. Likely to purchase from this brand again in a few months to further diversify the genetic line of the population.

Got the little guys as a gift for a new gardener in my life and all came alive and SO WELL! Seller was rightfully worried about the temperature and all, as we were too. There was a sudden weather change we hadn’t prepared for. Regardless, they made sure to make them extra safe and well taken care of. The gardener was so excited seeing them. Seems the seller was unable to reach us before arriving but very satisfied with our roly polys.

Seller really cares if your isopods arrive alive! I've ordered twice so far and all my little ones were up and moving and I could easily spot them. I've ordered from 3 other places and they have come deceased. This is the only place I can realibly say you will receive your little buddies and they will be in good quality!

I ordered January 25 due to warmer weather and they arrived today February 1st. Very well packaged. The cup with this isopods was in a Styrofoam cut out with the hot hands heat pack in a nearby cutout (still slightly warm). The pods were active and immediately began exploring there new home!

Looking around I searched to find a seller selling isopods for a reasonable price (to me) and I couldn't really find any. I wanted to add a few to my Leopard Gecko's bioactive vivarium. Then I came across Pocket Pets and found them to be selling for a much cheaper price than competitors. Although there weren't that many reviews and I was quite nervous, I took a chance. And I'm VERY happy I did. Around the time I made the purchase I was contacted about the timing around which my roly-polies would be delivered due to extreme heat. I had about 3 casualties but I appreciate the professionalism and care provided to these pets even after release. Also, because I got 30 of them (including the ones that didn't make it) and extras on the behalf of Pocket Pets, I can breed them! The only thing I would change would be the packaging. Don't get me wrong. It's EXTREMELY secure and you don't have to ever worry about escapees but getting through thick layers of styrofoam was difficult and messy. I don't know why styrofoam was chosen (maybe because it allows for more air?) but I won't miss cutting through it on what felt like a rescue mission for the isopods. NEVERTHELESS, I would definitely buy again!

all of the isopods arrived alive! they acclimated to their new home (a small glass tank for invertebrates) immediately. they emerge from the substrate whenever i mist their enclosure. thank you so much for the inclusion of pregnant isopods along with the gift of a pocket isopod habit. i was actually considering buying one! it’s such a novel concept. i will buy from pocket pets again in the future.

This is my first experience ordering isopods online, and I am very satisfied with my purchase! They came *very* securely packaged and were very active as soon as I took them out. I bought them for my hermit crab terrarium, as a clean up crew of sorts. They both require humid habitats, so it works out really well. I just checked on a group of 10 that I put in a separate terrarium to hopefully breed, and they're happily eating an apple while waggling their little antenna around. I actually think they're pretty cute! :) I would definitely order again if I need more! (09-19-17) Update! I have babies! Lots of them! The group in my hermit crab tank are beginning to reproduce, and I was ecstatic when I found them! I thought the adults were cute, and the itty bitty babies are even cuter~

I received my package of isopods today, and i must say how impressed i was with the care that was taken in ensuring their safe and alive arrival. I've ordered fragile statue/collectibles with less care that taken for these little guys. Inside the Styrofoam was a swall heat pack insurung their warmth. As soon as i opened the containers i saw them running around and digging. They were alittle thicker than i thought ( NOT A COMPLAINT) alot mlre than i thought. Only 3 were dead, which out of over 60 isopods that is amazing. I could not find anything to complain about. Very happy and i will definitely be making more purchases.
