Several years of reliable components
I've had this box for a few years and getting ready to add another as I'm low on some of the components. This kit taught me how to crimp cables properly. Done right, they easily fit, and "just work". Particular for small prototype boards, they're cheap, fits the 2.54mm spacings on a PCB/bread-board etc. The only "issue" is that if you've got your soldering iron set a bit too high, it may melt the white plastic and you've lost your plug. Note that once you mate the male and female, they lock pretty tight and it will take some effort to separate them. Don't yank the cable or there's a good chance you'll leave the connector behind with just a cable in hand.

Great kit, I used it for replacing balance connectors on lipo batteries
I found this to work just fine for my purposes: replacing the balance connector on a 3S and 4S LIPO battery. Unfortunately, these are easily chopped off by a propeller if you forget to tuck them away from danger when flying a multirotor. It took me a few tries to get the crimp right, and I lost several on the floor while trying to break them off the bar. There are only 200 female connectors, and 20 of each type of header (3-5pin). Keep that in mind when purchasing this kit. If you just need them for the occasional repair, I think they are a good buy. Since I need both the 4 and 5 pin connectors, this was more cost effective than buying them separate. I used the Engineer PA-09 crimpers with these and it works very well.

Sure get alot of these
These are exactly as described, come well packages and appear to be good quality. My issue is personal and not something the supplier can control. At seventy years old I find it very difficult to work with the small pins. Also, out of three different crimpers, none of the were correct for these. I will definitely run out of the metal terminals before I run out of bodies. My average so far has been three mistakes to one good termination. Again, this is no fault of the product, just me the user.

A good selection of lower pin count connectors. CORRECTION, these measure 2.50, JST XH are 2.50mm
EDIT: I remeasured the pin to pin pitch more precisely, it is 2.50, not 2.54. The below has been changed. I wasn't sure if these would be 2.54mm or 2.50mm, they are 2.50 mm pin to pin. There is a lot of confusion on these JST connectors. There is only one official JST that has a pin to pin pitch of 2.54mm and it's not this type. The difference between 2.54mm and 2.50mm only starts to matter when there are a lot of pins in the connector as the difference adds up. A circuit board with a 2.50mm pin to pin footprint would have a problem with one of these at 2.54 pitch at higher pin counts. The Wikipedia page has a list of all the JST connectors.

Large variety, high quality.
I got these to use on my TEVO Tarantula 3D printer. It has an MKS Base 1.2 controller board, and these are the types of connectors on that board. I really only needed a single, 3 pin male connector, but I figured I might as well get the kit in case something breaks later on or I need to do any further modifications. These pins and connectors are high quality and easy to assemble. I only have some cheap-o crimpers, but these still crimp very easily. There is a huge variety of connectors in this kit, so you're pretty much covered no matter what project you're working on. I'm totally happy with this set and I would absolutely recommend this if these are the type of connectors you need for your project.

Great kit for wiring a MKS Base V1
Great kit for wiring a MKS Base V1.5 3D Printer Arduino Controller Board. NOTE that the crimpers that they recommend, DO NOT work worth a crap. For the proper crimpers, you will need to spend between $350.00 to $500.00. No joke.

connectors work really well
i finally needed to break down and buy a set of JST connectors. i also wanted a kit that had both mail and female parts. this is a great kit. i have ordered parts from this company before, and i really like their stuff.

This is made worse by the fact that it is hard to undo ...
These are notched and locking connectors, the locking mechanism is quite strong, and in the case of the smallest connector, the two pin, too strong imo. This is made worse by the fact that it is hard to undo the locking mechanism, accidentally gave pretty small gauge wire a strong pull while fighting one of these connectors. They work well though, my only problem was that the latch is overkill for my use case.

I stopped counting the parts and kits I bought from Hilitchi. Always 100% satisfied. Good products, good quality, good price. I trust this seller. Not a single glitch.

Works as expected, I thought I could get away with crimping the pins with pliers and other crumpets I had, but no way. These things are so small and so tricky you definitely need the specialty crimper tool.

You can buy the EXACT same kit on eb...ay for half that price. But it's gonna take 2 months to arrive compare to two days with Amazon. I was in a rush to get those so I ordered from Amazon. In the kits there is 220 male pin connectors (tiny silver metal connectors that need to be crimped). I honestly don't know why they include them in the kit since they are needed for the black Dupont plugs and not for those white JST XP Dupont plugs. So only I'm missing something, they're completely useless here. But other than that I'm happy with my purchase. Oh and by the way, make sure you have the right crimping tool! My crimper is doing 0,5 mm pins and up, is supposed to crimp 22AWG cables and is supposed to be 2,54 mm JST compatible. So I though it would work. But no! Those 2,54 mm JST XP plugs need a crimper compatible with 0,25 mm female pin connectors (the silver tiny ones). So I had to order a new crimper here on Amazon. Don't look at which AWG gauge your crimper is good for, it doesn't matter, it needs to have the small 0,25 mm slot. Sometimes it's written on the crimp die, sometimes in the crimper specifications. Look for a crimper that is compatible with the smaller JST PH 2,0 mm and you should be ok.

Super easy to work with, can use them in a variety of ways. I’ve become lazy and do them like in the photos now. Just be aware when soldering to the legs of the male sockets not to hold it there too long or you may cause the leg to come detached and move freely. Not the end of the world, can always throw some superglue on the back to hold it in place but just something to be aware of if you’re a little heavy handed with a soldering iron like me. These connectors make life WAY easier when you’re constantly stuffing round with led lighting etc as I always just keep a few PSUs around with some of these on them and then can quickly connect up various lighting (daisy chaining them).
