240 sqft cabin first epoxy floor!
I have been working with (deep pour) epoxy for many years & I was still very intimidated by this flooring project! I bought one kit for my small cabin & planned for months researching if it would be enough product, figuring out the pour technique, colors etc. I hope this review helps! I purchased a second 3 gallon kit last minute before starting & so glad I did! One of these kits is EXACTLY enough to cover 240sqft lol. But only ONE coat. Mixing the first batch, I added a white epoxy dye & used a squeegee to spread the first layer...then started mixing the second batch while still wet. This first coat is necessary to do a dirty pour technique to help it blend & flow. The second, mixed batch, I divide into smaller buckets with different mica powder colors added. Dumped each color into a larger bucket and did a dirty pour. Turns out for a full, complete dirty pour, u need LOT of epoxy. I could have used a couple more kits tbh for that method. I ended up doing the dirty pour, but not with as much coverage as needed...so I just poured out everything I had, every last bit in all the buckets and colors...at this point it was very random and I was desperate to have the pigment & coverage. I then went over everything Again with a squeegee. I was worried I wouldn't get that faux stone/marble look u get with dirty pour...but it came out SO nice! Not too bad for my first try. I'm confident & obsessed to do this again! If you have worked with epoxy u know that this stuff gets hot & will go off and cure in the bucket if you don't get it out & moving within 5-10 minutes. The kits directions on lid says to not leave in bucket for more than 5 minutes after mixing. This depends on the weather if it's 80 out I wouldn't delay. The large amount of mixed epoxy in bucket creates A LOT of heat! Pour mixed batch into smaller buckets asap if u know you need more time. This smaller amount creates less heat. Once you get it out on floor in a thin layer, you can work it for a good 20-30 minutes depending on weather/room temp. The product being more spread out & thin, creates less heat and you have time to work it with squeegee. If it's in direct sunlight or heat, forget about it...it will cure in minutes! Keep the a/c on if possible or work on cooler time of day. After you are done working...now u need the heat to cure this stuff. Wait at least 48 hrs before moving anything heavy onto floor Have your colorings etc ready..any long delay can destroy your project. Be sure to do a base color of paint on floor. Mix thoroughly the most important part! Around 2.5-3 minutes until u don't see any ribbons of unmixed product. Overall I'm super happy with this product & can't wait to do more! I transformed this run down, 1970s "jackrabbit homestead" from scary...to awesome. When I purchased this place it was full of birds nesting, broken roof & sad...now it's looking so luxurious!

An Amazing Transformation
I have been reading and reading for weeks about epoxy floor coatings. My new pole barn is about 900 sqft and a new concrete floor. Waiting 6 weeks for the concrete to cure was the longest 6 weeks I have had in a while. One thing I have read is the coverage and some reviews seem to say they ran short. I was very apprehensive about this so I had ordered 4 3 gallon kits. 6 gallons for the first coat and 6 for the second along with 300lbs of flake. I rented a concrete grinder for a full day but finished the floor in 2 hours. When I returned the grinder my son was already mixing the color powder into the first 3 gallon kit. Followed the same procedures I have seen in 15 different YouTube videos on prep, pouring and flake tossing. The 1st coat was fantastic… the following morning when dry, it looked great. The 18” roller was HOT when I removed it from the handle from the catalytic reaction. HOT enough to drop on the ground from the high heat. It dried overnight and we Mixed the second batch for the second coat. it was better coverage and easier to go quickly. The spike shoes are absolutely necessary and the cheap ones fall off easily so put them on securely and double check them. Took an hour to re-coat…done 24 hours later the floor was hard enough to to walk on and looked spectacular. I have 2 friends who saw in the next day and are ordering the mpc-100 epoxy for their buildings It is only a few days but this is starting out so perfectly… EDIT: it has been 19 months and actively used…. Looks as good as the day we installed it. I did drop a few heavy tools and it chipped the surface ..some as big as a quarter. Will mix a small batch and try to patch it

WASTE OF MONEY!!! AWFUL RESULT
This product was terrible. I employed two contractors very familiar with epoxy resin, as I am myself. Everything was carefully prepped-the temperature suggested for optimal curing was consistent. The mixing and measuring was as precise as needed. There was no reason for what occurred. The bubbling in one area is atrocious. The rest just didn’t cure at all. The only suggestion made by contractor was the product itself was expired past ideal date of use. Or it had been stored in a facility that was not temperature regulated prior to shipping. I want a refund on my money. Almost $200 is far too expensive to pay when I have to now pay for repairs where it was used and removal fees.

eh its ok
works ok, but buy twice as much as you're planning by sq ft. I did have some hot tire pick up, which I now need to repair.

This is easily the best clear epoxy for the cost and for the coverage!
I am truly amazed how great this epoxy clear came out. I help my boss epoxy every floor we do at work from the prep to sealing the floors to laying the epoxy, flakes and clear coating them. This product is absolutely amazing if you know what your doing and I am not just saying that. I recommend breaking down this kit down so you make 2 one gallon buckets so it's easier to work with. If you properly mix the epoxy and hardener you will not have air bubbles like some of the other reviews state. Also if you pour, squeege and roll the epoxy it will self level and look amazing. I will always use this clear epoxy because I was able to do my 2 car garage completely and it came out awesome. Everyone that walks by the house is blown away and for the cost you can't beat it!
