They work awesome except in a strong river current super touchy I've got it set now where I can fish a strong current like the Missouri River most of the time it goes up there's a fish on the line

Easy to use and relax while it does all the work.

So, as a rod holder, they're pretty decent. Easy to get into the ground, easy to remove from the ground. But, as a mousetrap style fish catcher...that's debatable. I never caught a single fish, even on the lightest setting. They went off a time or 2 but with zero hook sets. I can't say I'm impressed yet. Maybe if a monster 25 lb plus fish bit your line hard...you'd probably catch something. Like I said, it's a nice rod holder I guess.

The strap that secures the rod to the holder is too short. It is about 1" to short to secure rods with thicker handles.

My wife got me these for Father's day. I didn't think they would last very long but I gotta tell you I'm impressed. I have used them throughout the summer and they work great. I have caught lots of fish with it.
