Fascinating. This study of runic symbols is a great resource that tells you not only about the meanings of the symbols, but also how you can apply them to better your life. It is written in a way that makes what could be a confusing topic quite understandable instead. And the pictures and illustrations enhance the text even more. The author provides her own experiences with the runes, which shows you how they can affect your own life. Or even if you want it merely to understand runes, without applying them to your life, this is a great book to keep on hand. I am drawn to ancient beliefs and customs, so I especially liked the chapter in the beginning about the Tree of Life, which is mentioned in many ancient societies. This is a book I'll want to refer back to often, to understand the uses of these runes. It will definitely help in my own research into the Bulgarian runes.

I have stumbled upon this magick book. It must have been universal answer to my quest of knowing more and learning more about cosmic consciousness. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to connect, understand and speak the same language as our God and Goddesss predecessors.

Bought this as a reference guide for some of my writing since you can't have too many books on runes, mythology, religion, and all of that. A lot of work went into this. Very helpful.

This book so beautifully compiles a tremendous amount of research with truly unique insights. All of this interesting information is presented in an extremely approachable way, and I believe it can serve readers at all levels - whether it be someone just beginning to delve into the magic of runes or someone already using them who would like to deepen their understanding and find new ways to enhance their use of them. There is a great deal of focus on how the runes are valuable for divination and manifestation, and I really appreciate all of the author's sharing from personal experience of these practical applications for improving our lives. Many different powerful methods are offered so that a reader is sure to find techniques that resonate with them. I recommend this book from a genuine place of deep gratitude as I have already been benefiting from incorporating her recommendations into my life.

The book is very interesting, but the print is extremely small and hard to read.

Having been attracted to esoteric studies much of my adult life, I felt particularly drawn to this book. I knew a little about runes and had even bought a physical set of runes back in the day but had never delved deeply into their origin. Iva Kanaz has a gift of bringing the origin of these inherently relevant symbols to life in RUNES: MAGICAL CODES OF NATURE. For those who have eyes to see, Kanaz brings to view these ancient symbols that reveal their secrets and mystery. Using the tools this author provides, one can learn how to facilitate communication between humankind and the invisible powers that animate our physical world. Joseph Campbell refers to this invisible power as "hidden hands," an experience that activates something deep within those who have been lucky enough to experience a sense of something helping us from beyond. I found this book to be informative, carefully researched and well-written and will use it as a reference for sure. Highly recommended!

Fascinating read I recommend to anyone wanting to learn about ancient runes. Packed full of interesting information which is organised into sections making it very easy to follow and understand. As well as an informative read, because of the layout, it could also be used as a reference book. In addition to thoughts being so well organised the book is enhanced by well-designed line drawings and photographs making it a visually very attractive book. I found the history of the runes, the parallels with other religions and the similarity to the building blocks of life itself fascinating. In later sections, the general meaning of each rune is given along with photographs showing runic yoga and the author's personal connections and experience with each rune. A book to treasure and keep.
