OtterBox Defender Series Rugged Case & Belt Clip Holster for Samsung Galaxy S8 PLUS - Non-Retail Packaging - (Black)

I've come to rely ONLY on the Otterbox brand for protecting my phone, but for the first time ever I'm 100% disappointed. When you have an 'Edge' phone (I will never get one of those again either), it's the edge you need to protect as the screen of an edge phone is far more vulnerable to crack when dropped. That being said, you WANT a phone case that has every single side of the phone covered by being raised high enough, ESPECIALLY the corners, so that no matter which way you drop your phone, the glass will never make any contact with the ground. I had a cheap phone case before I bought the more expensive Otterbox, and had to go back to using it simply because the raised cover was so much higher than Otterbox's. Really wish the angle of the pictures on Amazon had clearly showed how much higher the corners (and sides) are, but alas, the angles are seriously deceiving.

I have always been satisfied with the durability of OtterBox products. While it took me a little while to figure out how to install my phone in it, I am enjoying the final result. I love the colour combination. The buttons require a bit more pressure to activate when the case is on, which is mostly a good thing for me. I like that the exterior ends up being the rubbery material, because it makes it easier to grip. This material doesn't collect lint/dust/hair like others I've used, which is really nice! I also have used the holster way more than I thought I would, it definitely comes in handy.

I have been using otterbox defender cases for the past 7-10 years because I used to have to replace my phone every 1-2 years from abuse now my phone is becoming obsolete before I have to replace it and the proof is this review is in March 2021 and the one I am about to replace is a perfectly working Samsung Galaxy s 8+ yup I said it a Samsung Galaxy s8+

I had to replace my old one I'd these because the plastic bit broke. I have small hands so I have difficulty holding this with one hand but I love this case! It has protected my phone from my klutziness and from the collision of it hitting the ground when flying off my bike!

Seams to be a good product. I was disappointed that it doesn't have a protective screen, I must have missed that in the description.Other than that it works as it should.

This is a nice case, does make the phone seem a lot bigger than it is but it seems to protect it well. I wish it came with a screen protector so I didn't have to buy one separately. Will update if any issues are found

You need to buy screen protectors because this isn't the actual box that I am used to!
