Good for Beginners
My son wanted a growing kit for his birthday. This was a good price. So far, 2 months later, the marigolds are blooming and the tomato stalks are growing. No tomatoes yet, but I think they will be here soon. This is good for beginners, which we are.

Pays for itself
I planted my seeds with this seed kit 11 days ago and they have sprouted and are growing well. This is a really simple kit, perfect for by a window. This was also a fun and educational activity to do with my 5 year old son as a bit of a science project. We can’t wait to be able to use some fresh herbs in our cooking. I did find a similar kit of the same brand cheaper at Walmart, however it will pay for itself with fresh herbs regardless so I am still satisfied.

SEEDS ARE DEFECTIVE
i purchased a tomato and marigold kit about a month ago. i planted it the same day i got it in the mail & followed all instructions to a T. i usually have no trouble getting things to grow you could say i have a excellent green thumb but this has not germinated at all!! it seems a little bit of fuzzy white mold has started to form too so i put a hole in a bottom of the pail. im not sure if this will fix the issue or not as it has been about 2 and a half weeks now. germination time on the package said 7-14 days but its been longer then that for certain. not sure if i just got a bad batch and could get a replacement sent? amazon says that i have til the 24th of this month to return but i don't have enough time on my hands to deal with mailing back.

Not guaranteed to grow
OK quality. Followed the instructions exactly, planted all the seeds, kept soil moist but not wet, covered with plastic wrap… everything! But only the basil and cilantro grew! So sad I won’t have any chives except this one little sprig that popped up after 2+ weeks already.

Grew so fast!
Got multiple sprouts of both marigold and tomato within a week. They grew WAY faster than I thought they would. Hopefully I can grow them to full size but the kit really does give you a perfect start. Gonna buy more varieties once I get paid!

Maybe I'm Not a Green Thumb But This DId Not Work Out
Followed the directions, the germination process for the Basil and Cilantro seemed to work well however, and perhaps it was my error the Cilantro and Basil grew well beyond how I had it covered with plastic so I removed the plastic wrap. The chives were starting to germinate but they didn't grow being two or three sprigs I seen. Very lightly watered it, feeling the soil to see when I thought it was necessary and mold ended up on the soil. After doing some research it stated a bit of mold wasn't the worse but that maybe it was being watered too much. The thing was, it didn't seem like the plants were doing well regardless if I watered it too little, or "too much". My watering technique was to use a pray bottle and just get the surface a bit wet so it was never that I drowned the plants, or did it daily. I know the directions stated to add some fertilizer to the water and did at the specified ratio. From then seemed as if my plants rushed to die then researched and seen that perhaps the fertilizer made it too acidic. Either way, a month and a half of care, and proper sunlight on a windowsill and they couldn't survive. Not the best green thumb, but I've had other plants survive with my care so I don't know what the deal was.

It's growing!
I started my indoor planting with the seeds provided. After about two weeks, some small spigots are showing. I'm having fun.
