Itโs like eating hard tack as you cross the ocean on a 6 month pilgrimmage.
Reading this book for my MA/MFT program and it is tedious, overly theoretical, and pointless. For a brief summary of the entire book, know that1) Person centered care is about properly demonstrating that you actually care about your clients and can collaborate (no way!)2) So far there are some diagrams, pyramids, and talk of EBP. Basically stay educated within the field blah blah. It both encourages intuition and says actually no donโt do that follow these methods because they are sciencey and somehow legitimized in this dumb patriarchal medical mess. This book is so mundane and bourgeoise it is like eating overcooked plan rice grain by grain whilst trying to hold a monocle in your eye socket. Enjoy friends!!

Good college textbook
I've been using this book for my Addictions Studies College Course. It's comprehensive, easy to read, and has lots of resources to use in case I want to learn more about a certain topic.

This is a pretty good book to keep around. It is well written and had a lot of good examples and clearly defined all concepts. I will be keeping this around when I start to practice.

great reminder
Very clear and helpful. Gives words to a process that is sometimes difficult to articulate in a way that makes sense to people who were not part of the original conversation
