The salt helps balance out the sweetness so it's tasty to drink.I did as another review said and only used 3 scoops, it may off set the nutritional value/calories but 4 scoops feels overkill.I mix mine with skimmed milk and it tastes so good.Kept me full from early 8am- 12pm.The design of the bag is stupid, it flutes and tightens at the top so makes it hard to level the scoop and keep it from spilling out. It smells just like that mint choc chip ice cream you used to love as a kid but could never find the same flavour again.The smell is a lie. I'm wondering if the scoop is the wrong size. This is expensive stuff and therefore am not too impressed if it's not actually lasting as long as it states on the packet. I make it up in a shaker with about a mugful of water because I can't be bothered measuring properly. It is sort of a gloopy shake, tastes a bit like flour paste glue with mint and chocolate in. It does, however, do the job. If I have one at 7 I'm not actually hungry until about 2, which is pretty good. Can't tell you if I've lost any weight because the scales have run out of battery and it's one of those weird flat ones.I know I'm not enthusing profusely, but it's a diet shake.
