Evocative Coaching: Transforming Schools One Conversation at a Time

Evocative Coaching is one of the best books I have read in a while. I used this book as one of the textbooks in a course I taught for K-12 school leaders who were refining their coaching approaches. The writing sings and importantly transfers seamlessly into practice. Undergirded by the principles of Appreciative Inquiry, the authors walk readers through the process of building transformative relationships with the teachers they coach. Importantly, readers themselves will be transformed as they personally internalize these principles and ways of being. It is a must read for anyone seeking to evocatively empower and journey with teachers as they leverage their strengths and assets to improve their teaching craft and rediscover the joy and fulfillment of teaching to their highest potential.
