Pretty but some issues
The calendar is really pretty and was a gift for my sister. I filled each drawer with candy and a Bible verse and took it to her before Thanksgiving, 4.5 hours away (I didn't want to ship it). I was so excited for her to open it but when she did, the lights didn't work on one side. I report back that it didn't work and the shipper sent a new one right away; it arrived at my home before I got back 2 days later. I checked the lights on the new one right away and they worked just fine. I switched out the candy/Bible verses from the old one to the new but some of the drawers in the new one were stuck; one of the faces on one of the drawers came off when I forced the drawer open so I glued it back on. Another drawer was glued a little askew so I had to use sandpaper to shave a little off so it wouldn't get stuck again. Then I had to ship it to my sister which I didn't want to do in the first place; I was afraid the chocolate candy would melt. I then sent the first one back to the shipper. The new one arrived at my sister's house in time for Advent and she loves it! I'm not sure if the lights worked the whole time because the one I ordered for myself, the white one, had the lights stop working on the 3rd day of Advent. I plant to order some new strip lighting that plugs into an electrical outlet and replace it for next year.

Cute, but arrived broked
Its super cute but it arrived with santa broken off and one of the deer antlers rattling around in it. I think it's cute, but would definitely not pay full price for it. I got it on black friday for half off. The led lights make it look cute, but there is no attempt to hide the strips or even the battery pack/switch. They just have to awkwardly be tucked behind one of the wooden figures, and they are always clearly viable. It's a good cheap version of something that is SUPER expensive on amazon, but don't look here for quality, and definitely don't pay $50+ for it

Duplicate drawers
This was super cute! I purchased for my grandkids. They noticed right away that there were two drawers with the #14 on them. They are missing the #13 drawer. :(

The lights which make it beautiful are difficult to turn on and off
All of the wood, paint and magnets work great and it looks beautiful lit up. However the light switches (two of them) are on tiny little battery packs which have no natural place to sit. I stuffed them into the scenery, but that made them difficult to retrieve. As the month went along we eventually stuffed them into the drawers. The switches are tiny and hard to operate, and the item appears to drain batteries quickly. It’s pretty, but best operated by someone with small, nimble fingers. I wound up keeping it off more than I wanted to simply because it was a pain to turn on. That’s too bad - I like it, but I wish I’d bought something else.

No magnets
This is a great little advent calendar. However, there are no magnets. The boxes do not stay in when tipped. The back of each box does have “metal” but they are not magnetic. Inside their little cube just had a piece of wood that is pretending to be a magnetic.

Solid construction and ample space for treats
This advent calendar is made of wood and feels sturdy, so it should last many years. I only dinged it one star because the compartments for the days don't open easily and feel like they might break or get stuck after heavy use. Overall, it's a very well-built advent calendar. An added plus is that the compartments are large enough to fit most types of candy, chocolates, or even small toys. I was planning to buy one for each of my kids, but it turns out that a single calendar will work fine because I will be able to fit two chocolates in each day's compartment.

Craftsmanship isn't good
I purchased 3 of these advent calendars for my grandchildren.I was disappointed in the craftsmanship. I thought the design on the outside was painted on the wood but it appears to be painted ( I think painted ) on paper that is glued to the wood. The paper at the edge of the box looked worn and a bit frayed and it was not smoothly adhered to the box. There were ripples across the box. There also was a "white scape" of white paint that looked like maybe a smear. In addition, one of the trees inside the box was not attached at all.All that was just on one calendar box ! I never opened the other two boxes ! I am returning all 3.I also decided after seeing it, although it is super cute, and I liked the light up feature, these were way too big to give 3 of them to my daughter for the children. I didn't know where she could display all three of them in her house so the children ( or the dog ! ) wouldn't knock them over !It's too bad because they are super cute.

Meh. Poorly put together.
Poor craftsmanship. The idea is really cute, BUT... the backdrop was glued in upside down on one side and then the house was glued onto the trees instead of being able to see the trees. The stickers put on the tree cutouts were all wrinkled and misplaced. The light strips are haphazardly glued on and the switch just hangs down awkwardly, so you have to tuck them behind the cutouts. The stars it earns are for the sturdiness of the frame and the little boxes, which are actual wood instead of cardboard like the cutouts.

Good... too bad one of the lights was broken
Nice overall and came with extra batteries but unfortunately one of the lights did not work
