It works!
One day I tried to pick up my vintage Martin D12 28 and the guitar case handle broke in half. Ok, so the guitar and case are 40 years old; I wasn't upset it broke, just unpleasantly surprised.Getting the handle pieces off the old case looked like I was gonna need a saw and maybe a rivet remover something or other. What to do? Check Amazon! I searched guitar case handles, and came up with this one. This guy solved the broken handle problem (with the addition of my trusty wood saw - to saw off the broken bits).Because it buckles on the old (rivet) mount I didn't have to fuss around with rivets and stuff. And the new handle, leather and all, looks and works just fine. I can cart the case (and guitar) around safe and sound. So I gave it four stars instead of five, why? Because it just doesn't feel quite the same (or as good - more slop with the extra length) in my hands as the old one did; but it only took a minute to install. All that to say, it does get the job done and looks pretty good too!

This handle replaced the exact same model that held up for 20 years. The new one doesn't appear to be as durable. The leather that wraps around the guitar case spindle (where my old one broke) is very thin. I can't see it lasting very long. The rest of the handle is fine. Too bad the leather isn't thicker where it supports the weight of a guitar case. I may take mine to the cobbler and see if he can't reinforce that area or maybe replace the leather with nylon.

An Easy on OK Handle
Its ok a little flimsy between the handle and Strat case. wish they could use a heavier type material but sure beats installing a factory type.I am ok with it.

the leather straps were pretty thin I would think that since this is the connection point that more attention would be paid to that part even with the OHC I don't want it bouncing off the ground when this leather wears out.

Fit well on old Guild D-35 case. Had to punch and extra hole to tighten fit. Good alternative to buying a new case when the molded handle broke.

Cheaply Made
Leather buckle straps are thin and cheap. I'm sure they won't last long enough to get my $25 bucks worth! 3 stars was being generous

Didn't hold up!
I bought this handle for my husband's guitar case. It looked very nice but did not hold up. In the 2 months since it arrived, my husband has used the handle about 10 to 15 times to transport his guitar locally. Today, one strap broke and upon inspection, the other strap looks like it would easily break. Fortunately, he caught his guitar case before it hit the ground or this could have been a costly incident.

I am delighted.
It was helpful that this product offer came with a sketch showing the dimensions of the handle. It fits on the case perfectly. Thank you, I am delighted.Ted
