Absolute waste of money.
I thought this would be a cool addition to my star destroyer, but this ended up being a waste of money and time. The wires are super small, and have to be placed under bricks, which broke the connection on the port side lights. The wires in the connectors that plug into the hub literally weren't in the socket when it arrived. I contacted customer support and they said they would send me another and never did.The instructions are terrible, and the way the wires have to be underneath long sections of bricks makes failure almost inevitable.

Impaired by awful instructions
In the end, some of it looks great -- the engines, the turbolaser cannons -- but many of the lights have little discernible relation to the ships in the movies. Red & green flashing navigation lights on the tower? How Earth-like... and not true to the movies, I don't believe. Various lights stuck inside? I guess they're supposed to make it appear lit from within, but all they really do is reveal all the seams between body panels in the Lego kit and this destroys the illusion. The first recommendation in the installation guide is to fully connect all light modules to test them before installing. However, no discrete instructions are provided as to how the two circuit boards, numerous separate bridging wires, splitters, and various wired light modules are supposed to be connected. There are tiny "in 5V" and "out" notations on the boards, which help, but the closest you can get to a step-by-step wiring guide is to page through hundreds of tiny pictures in three small printed manuals. A simple wiring diagram would be so helpful. The best thing about this is that the light placement can be customized. For example, I lit the docking bay that holds the captive Tantive IV (see picture), making it very accurate to the opening scene in Episode IV: A New Hope. I also plan to relocate the bright blue midline lights so that their glow along the edge panels is more uniform and the light sources themselves are not directly visible.Bottom line: In raw, out-of-the-box form, it has a lot of potential but also entails a lot of headaches. It nails a couple of things (the engine exhaust, the turbolaser turrets) but completely misses obvious opportunities like the docking bay. With so much thought put into how to hide the wires, it's weird that only a fraction as much was put into the question of "Is it accurate relative to the movies?"

Lighting
The lighting looks good but I find there ways to hide cabling hard. But I’m a lighting designer for shows so cable management huge pet peeve of mine I have done three of there kits I find it easier to put in if you put them in as you go along. They look good I just find the wires hard to hide.

Don't waste your money
The instruction manual is awful, even being as careful as possible with all the wiring, half of the lights don't work, and for $70 I'd expect something that is sturdy enough to withstand using it for its intended purpose.

Bad quality product
The wires are thin and breakable and they don't give you any wiggle room, and the instructions are very unclear. Somebody took a camera and took pictures of the process, half of the pictures are redundant and the other half seem to be missing important steps. Just get a light that exists outside your star destroyer and display it by giving it an external glow.

Schnell gerissen!

Don't waste your money. Awful product.
The instructions don't show or tell you anything. Just a bunch of useless pictures that leave you guessing. There is a useless video on YouTube from the company but it's extremely fast and most of the time you can't see what is happening due to bad camera angles. Unless you have surgeons hands, the lights will break. Terrible product and a stunned unaware company.

No support despite what they say
My set had a dud component out of the box, its been two weeks since I reached out to the support team at lightailing with no word. Shame too as I think these would look good installed, but will be returning them.Despite not being able to install them looking through the instructions I would caution that the sections pertaining to the wiring are not very clear, and the instruction steps inexplicably jump around in the various booklets.
