Pros: my hair is thick and messy. This product has always done a wonderful job of making it smooth and thinner. So much so that my hair stylist has no idea my hair wasn’t naturally smooth. It heats up quickly and last for a very long time.Cons: it is a bit pricey but worth it because it lastsFor years and years!!Final verdict: this straightener is easy to use and last forever! I’ll buy another when this one dies, just like the 4 before it!

I bought this flat iron about 7 years ago on the recommendation from my stylist. She actually ordered it for me from the beauty supply shop and I remember it was about $125. (Should've checked Amazon or priced it myself, but it was a brand I'd never heard of and just figured it was only available to stylists). Fast-forward to now. It has worked beautifully for 7 years and heats up in less than a minute to max temp, but one day it just stopped working. I plugged it in and it had just died in its sleep. I ordered one from Amazon and it is identical to my original, but about $25 less. This is a great iron. No pulling or snagging hair, heats up quickly with good heat adjustment if needed and leaves hair silky smooth. My teenage daughter and I use this iron regularly and I've used it to apply at-home keratin treatments for straight hair and it gets hot enough to leave me with perfect results. I highly recommend this flat iron. Hope my new one lasts another 7 (or more) years. Excellent purchase.

This is the best flat iron you could ever own. I had my other infrashine flat iron for about 4 years, I used it every single day, and it finally went out on me. I bought it at the salon I use to work at because I got such great discounts. I'm now an RN, so I don't get the discounts that I use to and thought I would try another flat iron. Before buying another infrashine I tried the CHI, which I absolutely hated, every time I went over a piece of hair I could hear it ripping and breaking pieces of my hair off, not a great sound! I returned it the next day. I then tried the Sultra Wicked flat iron because it got such great reviews, however it was not nearly as good as the infrashine I had owned. I found the infrashine on Amazon at a great price and bought it right away. The infrashine leaves your hair so shiny and straight you only need to go over the section once and your hair stays straight and shiny all day. I will never buy another flat iron other than the infrashine. I use mine every single day and absolutely love it. It's definitely the best flat iron you will ever own. I promise you the first time you use it you will never buy another flat iron for the rest of your life!

I have been using this for quite awhile(about 1 year). I bought it to replace a Japanese flat iron that I loved. I haven't had any problems with this product. If you read the care instructions it is written that you should not hang it by the cord and lay it flat to cool. I have been doing this. I just keep it on my vanity. It does not burn the table even at the highest setting.The plates are very smooth and won't pull hair. It heats up consistently in seconds. One reason that I detracted a star is because it doesn't have an automatic turn-off switch,which is a "nice to have."(It wasn't supposed to have one.) I left it on one day and nothing bad happened, luckily! Secondly, I don't think it has any other special function outside of straightening hair. I don't notice my hair having more shine aside from the fact that ceramic hot irons smooth the cuticle of the hair.Beware if you have fine hair (like mine) the highest setting could burn your hair off. It happened to me. But that wasn't the fault of the product.Overall, I recommend this product, but hope that the company will have an upgraded product with the option of automatic shut-off in the future.

I like it so far. Works nice and fast. Heats up fast, easy to use. Lightweight. Wish it came in different size plates. This one is the thinnest but it works well. Doesnt dry hair and I've used many different brands.

I can't even begin to express how much I love this straightener. My hair dresser actually introduced me to infra shine and I bought my first one from her salon. It's the third one I have owned and I will never go back to another straightener. My other one broke because I unfortunately dropped it too many times, not because the quality is bad. I have never thick coarse hair that is also wavy. Volume has never been an issue for me so I need a straightener that will take the volume out of hair for me. When my straightener broke most recently I tried using a slightly cheaper one that had good reviews. It took me several times running the straightener over one small chunk of hair before it even straightened and then only stayed straight for a few hours. With this infra shine straightener its straightens my hair after just one time going over it and then it stays straight for days. I had to return the other straightener because it couldn't hold a candle to infra shine. It also leaves my hair shiny and feeling silky. I attached before and after pictures to show just how well it works and that I truly do have frizzy hair that needs to be tamed. I wish I could give this more stars. Once you own an infra shine you will never go back.

Best flat iron I've ever used, hands down. It makes my hair so smooth and doesn't dry it out. It is more expensive than something you might get at your local Target but it is worth every penny! I had my first one for about 7 years before it died and I had to replace it.
