Great value for what you get.Complete set of stones, base , flattened and guides. Just add water.I used mine primarily for my hand plane irons and chisels. It also worked great on all of my knives.It's a great intermediate set that will let a beginner grow into it. It's capable beyond that.I store mine in a gallon plastic pitcher to avoid waiting for them to saturate. I replace the water every couple of weeks to avoid any growth.Definitely recommend.

It is a super full set of sharpening tools!!!It does what it suppose to do; sharpening.The first thing I did after receiving it, it was to sharpen my dull knifes. After a couple of minutes of rocking back and forward the job was done. It cut papper like butter.

I have 3 items that are defected and I ask for them to send me those three (see one example in picture). They respond with a $25 dollar refund. Below is my responding (twice now) and I have not gotten an answer back yet.The only problem is that the flat stone could not be use due to the sharp edge. For me to buy a grinder that will grind the flat stone to a useable flat stone, it will cause me about the price of the whole sharpener stones package and the time to do so.As an inconvenience to both of us, why not just send me a whole new one.VPheng

I'm a chef going on 22 years now. I got these stones because my others have been worn down to little frags, and need to keep an edge on my work knives. This kit does the job, and everything works as described, and good quality. Definitely not the best stones on the market, but I'm very happy for the price. Only word of caution would be to anyone that doesn't know how to/or have experience with these kind of sharpeners, do not learn on an expensive knife. Practice on beater knives first. Also, expect to spend 30 min to an hour on knives that are dull. But all in all I'm very pleased, and got my knives razor sharp. Could have shaved my face with my chefs knives after I was done.

Product works great! I even used it to sharpen up an old rusty machete and was able to get a razor edge on it with some elbow grease. I'd look into getting a diamond honing kit if I had to do it again though.

Don't need the strop but the various grits up to 8000 is just to awesome. I can't believe I was trying to sharpen my damn chisels by free hand on badly bowed oil sharpening stones after getting this kit.

Great product very inclusive and puts a good sharp edge works well if used correctly

The media could not be loaded.  If you believe that factory sharp is dull.. and you know how to use these - then this is a perfect set for you, has everything in it (i did buy an additional 10000 grit to even the edges, but you can also buy the steel rod instead (to maintain sharpness without the need of sharpening)If you don't know how to use these then please watch YouTube tutorials first, sharpening requires patience and know how. These things are only as good as the wielder.

Ngl I thought this was going to be a false economy type of product ie doesn’t work. But I’m pleasantly surprised, the stones and base are of excellent quality for the price, the user guide on here and in the packet are adequate but not great however there are plenty of you tubers you can follow for techniques. The strops are good but I do wonder how they’ll be after a year. The green compound for the strops is very good. Not too keen on the knife guide as imo that’s a little flimsy and I’ve not used the roller for chisels yet so I have no opinion.TL:DR an excellent little set for the money and perfect for beginners. Would definitely buy again.

Das Paket kommt in einem Karton, zweiseitiger Schleifstein 400/1000 und zweiseitiger Schleifstein 3000/8000.Außerdem ein Abziehstein, ein Lederriemen, Schleifpaste und ein Werkzeughalter.Ich habe sofort begonnen:den Stein eingeweicht, dann mit der 400er Körnung ein sehr stumpfes Messer geschliffen. Nach 10 Minuten und mehrmaligen benetzen des Steins mit Wasser konnte ich schon erste Erfolge feststellen. Den 1000er Stein habe ich eigentlich nur noch zum polieren genommen. Einen letzten Grat konnte ich mit dem Lederriemen abschleifen.Das Messer ist sehr scharf geworden.
