Fantastic garbage disposal - Made in USA
Outstanding! Way more quiet than my prior model. It was super easy to install and this was the best price around. Super happy with it!

Quiet
The first one I ordered was an open box( I knew it) but it was missing pieces. I sent it back and got a new one and it was perfect. I bit tough to get the electrical hooked up but once we did it worked great and is quiet.

Very quiet, very powerful. Easy to install. It is large and takes up lots of space under the sink.

Good Solid Disposal Unit
The outer case is plastic, in the way that some cars have plastic fenders, however there is a lot of heft and quality to the inside parts. A nice shiny new "InSinkErator" chromed top piece for the sink is included in the nice new quick release clamp. I took the old mount off of the sink and man, I was glad to get a chance to clean the hardened and intermittantly leaky old sink adapter. If your installation has been around for a while or if you just like to be sure everything is right, why skip the mount installation? All it takes is a little plumbers putty and some elbow grease to clean the sink before re-installation. Instructions have an illustration that calls for a "fiber washer" on the underside of the sink. My old quick release adapter didn't have one, and none came with the Pro750. I installed it as the old one was installed with no leaks and no issues. There could be a mistake in the instructions. The quick release mount is very well made and designed and easy to get evenly tight. I used the InSinkErator brand AC cord that is 3ft long and grounded as well as a new InSinkErator dishwasher adapter, no issues there. The instructions in the box were enough to get the wires connected correctly. To knock out the dishwasher connection plug, a 3/8" punch, or perhaps slightly larger scrap steel rod works much better than a screwdriver, especially if you don't like abusing tools. I used a scrap piece of rod laying around. A 3/8" or 1/2" plain steel bolt would probably work fine too. A gentle tap is all it takes. My installation required a cord kit, dishwasher kit, plumbers putty, steel wool, some new 1-1/2" compression washers (replaced the washers in the trap arm, sanitary baffle tee connector and P trap), a keystone screw driver, a #2 Phillips driver, a ChannelLock pliers (to free stubborn connectors), a little help from my wife to hand me things and check for leaks, and about 40 minutes. The old cord had a pretty corroded plug - if it were any worse, I would have replaced the receptacle too (might still do that). There is often a more humid, condensed environment under the sink, so a 20 year old installation like ours could need a new receptacle. Operation was louder for the first couple of days, about 1/2 that of an older Badger or 1/2hp Kenmore that we've had over the years. After that, it settled down and became very quiet, about 1/3 of our older Kenmore unit. I like the "decoupling" of the drain output using soft material. Our kitchen is upstairs; downstairs, there is a bit less sound when the unit is running. The "baffle", those black fingers that help keep it from getting garbage disposal reflux, gets softer over a short time and doesn't seem to cause any issues with slow draining of our sink -- if it did, I could cut it or try one from a different model or something. The first day, a full sink drained slower, but soon after, things worked normally in every way. Jan 2017 I've had this unit installed for a few days - so far I'm very happy with it. I will update this review over time. If things keep going great, and there are no issues, there could be another star coming.

EZ Connect cord not included
Huge upgrade from the builder’s garbage disposal which would only grind soft foods. This disposal does it all and is very quiet. My only issue was it didn’t come with the EZ connect cord.

Works well, does the job with no issues
I am very happy with my garbage disposal. I had a professionally installed, as I am an elderly widow who knows nothing about plumbing. The quality is good and far superior to my old disposal. I've had for about six months without a single problem. It does take up some space, so might be a good idea to check measurements against your cabinet.
