Oboz Bridger Low BDry Dark Shadow 9.5 EE - Wide

Great for Technical Hike
Very stable solid base that supports the foot during technical mountain hikes. You can take the line you want on the trail without worrying about rocks and roots giving you sore feet. Be aware that these are serious hikers and may not be the best shoes for everyday use. ...although I wear mine around a lot because they are so comfortable.

My Favorite Hiking Shoe For Every Day
The Oboz Sypes Low Leather B-Dry Hiking Shoe has become my favorite daily wear shoe. I prefer hiking shoes over tennis shoes or any other shoe for my everyday wear. For the last several years Oboz have been my favorite brand. I have owned several different Oboz styles and liked all of them, but this particular pair is by far my favorite. I even bought a second pair for when my current pair wears out. If I'm actually doing some heavy duty hiking, I would probably go with a little more heavy duty pair, but these would definitely get the job done and would be perfect for light hiking. I just prefer a little more rugged tread for the real thing. If I had one complaint, it would be that the laces could be a bit more rugged, but they look good and work just fine. If this brand fits your foot, you have to give these a shot. They are the most comfortable pair of hiking shoes I've ever owned and are plenty rugged for my daily walks and work around the yard, while still looking great when I'm out and about.

By far the best shoes I have ever owned
I am 52 and have owned all brands of shoes. These are by far and away the most rugged, toughest shoes I have ever owned. Naturally, because they are so tough they are difficult to break in. If you are slight hearted keep shopping. If you need shoes that are combat ready.. Get a pair. In fact, get two pairs.

wide size fits my EE feet
These low hikers have a firm feel underfoot, which I prefer to some other brands that have more running shoe-like foam cushioning. The wide size has a medium volume forefoot and a fairly narrow heel for a snug fit. As for being waterproof, that remains to be seen as time goes on. I had a previous pair of these in gray that I bought from a national recreational outfitter store that started leaking just a month after I got them. But I liked the shoe otherwise so decided to give them another try, just in the brown (canteen) version. I actually like this color better. So I've given 4 stars and will add a fifth if these shoes stay waterproof over the next year.

Quality and fit advice.
These shoes are well made and will need some break-in time. If you are a 13D in your dress shoes (Johnson/Murphy, Rockport, Florsheim etc) you will need the 14W in these as they fit just like running shoes from New Balance and Hoka. I speak from experience; I am a 13D in all my dress shoes but take a 14W or in some cases like NB a 14EE. If you have a narrow foot go with the standard width but go up a size.

I love these shoes
This is my third pair of Oboz. They wear like iron. The reason I got my first pair was because the soles release dirt and mud really well. There are no little holes to hold dirt.I don't like the way they state the width designation to 'whatever' ie nothing versus a W. With no explanation. I'm thinking the 'nothing' designation is somewhere around a C or Medium width. They are a bit tight in the box and I should probably have gotten a W.

Oboz Bridger LOW
These are GREAT trail shoes. I live in Colorado and hike throughout the week - whether taking my dog to the park or in the mountains on the weekend - I'm out quite a bit.I like the support and grip with these. I do have weak ankles so have to be careful (I do wear my Hoffman Explorer 10" tall boots when anticipating any rough trails, when I'm completely off trail and/or carrying a pack). However, for most typical Colorado trails which are heavily used, the Bridger Low's are fantastic. They maintain their support with a moderate load (day-pack with up to 30lbs - lots of water!) and have pretty good waterproofing given that they are low-cut. The fit is a good match for my feet (normal heel width, wide-ish forefoot, overall low volume and medium arch) and have a roomy toe box.I do re-condition the leather with Montana Pitch-Blend leather dressing, but my shoes do get a fair bit of wear.... The price has jumped significantly since i bought mine which is unfortunate as they are approximating the price of actual boots.

These were very painful for me.
These shoes were very painful on my feet most of the pain was directed on my big toe on both knuckles on the big toe of each foot, I only walked about 1000 feet on a sidewalk, my feet started to hurt so bad that I had to walk back barefoot, it's really unfortunate because these shoes look very well made. I very much like the style and the fact that they were water proof, but they are so stiff and rigid they were virtually impossible for me to walk in and they did seem like they were made to break in enough to ever be comfortable enough . I've never had any problems with my feet wearing sturdy motorcycle boots or ski boots, I gave these boots a 3 star because because they definitely won't work for me , now that's not saying they won't work very well for someone else? But since they caused such severe pain on the knuckles joints of my big toes that I couldn't even walk a 1000 feet in them and also after I took the shoes off my foot hurt for a couple of hours, so there's no way I could ever wear them long enough to break them in since I couldn't even walk 10 minutes in them. Like I said these shoes are made very well, but my feet need a shoe that's way more flexible, if anyone knows who makes very well made hiking shoes that are more flexible and comfortable that's what I'm looking for, since I'll have to send these back.

Fit and durability
I love Oboz. If you have wide feet, Oboz is the shoe for you ( Keen is good too). I do like the sole a bit better on the Oboz, and I do think they last a bit longer.

Instantly comfortable.
I wanted a walking shoe that was a bit more robust than the ones available on the high street. My usual source didn't have my size so I took to Amazon. They arrived as promised.I have never had a pair of shoes that were so instantly comfortable. They are are robust design and look to pretty much what I wanted.

Great light weight boots
I’ve been wearing Oboz boots for about 4 years now and find them perfect for my active urban lifestyle. I regularly walk more than 10000 steps daily in both commuting to work and urban hiking. These boots give great support and traction and are great winter boots. I get about 1 year per pair and these are living up to my expectations.

Gutes Produkt
