Lucas Oil Synthetic SAE 10W-50 SXS Engine Oil 1 Gallon (Pack of 1)

The Ford 5.4 Triton engine has a low oil pressure problem, as it ages and this effects the cam phasers, and VVT solenoids mostly on Bank 1 as that is the last part of the engine to receive oil pressure on start-up. This causes essessive wear on the parts on this side of the engine. I found that by fitting a Mellings high volume oil pump and changing the engine oil to the Lucas SXS 10W 50, the engine ran much better and the oil engine low oil pressure ceased to exist. It does not fix the problem long term, as the vehicle has done over 286,000 miles. However it has given me time. The oil is well worth the money. I have just returned from a 2000 mile round trip to Texas towing a car on atrailer and where temperatures were well over 100 degrees and the engine never used a drop of oil. Well done Lucas.

I have been using this in my Polaris RS1 since my machine hit 2000 miles...I've put about 2200 more on since with no oil related issues. I've always had good experience with Lucas products.
