Wow! What a knife!
My wife likes to cook, so we recently upgraded her knives. This was a specialty knife we saw that had great reviews, and they were right!The extra feature this knife has is a ridge along one side that physically forces whatever you just cut to "fall off" the knife instead of sticking to it. No need for your fingers to handle the tomato, lettuce, whatever you are slicing. They just fall of to the side and you can continue slicing.Very well made and easy to handle, like all our other Wustoff Classic knives. We expect we will have these knives for many years.

Works as advertised and well worth the cost
This is the best chef’s knife for slicing any food that likes to stick - especially potatoes and cheeses, but it is also great on all other vegetables. I use it on carrots, peppers, onions, anything really. But it excels on potatoes, tomatoes and cheeses. The holes and the ridge work as advertised. They push those sticky foods away from the blade and make difficult chopping tasks easy.

Awesome kitchen utensil!
Excellent quality and fantastic vegetable prepare knife. Solid weight and balance. If you do a lot of cooking and want to simplify and reduce your prep time, I would very highly recommend this knife!!

Outstanding knife.
As the executive sous chef at a rather famous grand my Knifes are used regularly and extensively. I have used many different knifes in my career from many different manufacturers. Wusthof is by far my preferred choice and this particular knife is among the favorites in my collection. I personally could not have been happier.

Really works!
To start, yes this knife will work best for those that use it right handed. That said, this knife is perfect for cutting firm vegtables like potatoes. The perforations prevent the knife from sticking to the held side of the vegatable while the rib on the right side of the knife push the cut portion off the blade. Just what I was I was hoping for!

Everyone who spends a fair amount of time in the kitchen should own this knife.
This is the best vegetable knife ever! I use it almost everyday. It’s very sharp and holds an edge for a long time. It comfortable to hold. I only wish they made on in the Classic Ikon series.

Great quality - a bit disappointed by the design of the blade
Like it, but a bit disappointed with the knife. I bought it because it said that the special design (wholes in the blade) were made so that veggies would move away from the blade as you slice them - hmm - not really. I tried potatoes, carrots, and other "hard" vegetables, and they still somewhat stick to the blade. Also, it is definitely a right-handed person tool, so if you are left handed, forget it.I do like the weight of the handle, the quality of the blade, the design. I have several other Wüsthof knives, and this complement the collection, but not my favorite one of the batch.

You only need this knife in your kitchen!
Recently, I took a cooking class in which the chef raved about this knife. It was hard to find as many stores no longer carry it. I think they stopped making it. But I located it on Amazon and am very very happy with it.
