I love that the book has completed examples (fingerprint + drawings), partially completed spaces (drawings only, you add the fingerprint), and lots of open space to create your own fingerprint art. Each page has prompts to aid in the creative process. There are 16 different scenes and 9 ink pads. This activity book is perfect for entertaining the kids at home or on the go. Our black ink was a bit dry (reason for 4 stars instead of 5). I added a couple drops of water and then the ink worked fine.Tips: The book suggests a cup of water and a paper towel for cleaning your hands between colors. However, I suggest a damp rag instead where they can wipe the color off their fingers. Spilling a cup of water happens far too often in this house. The book says 3+ which I agree with, but my 3yo thought making a rainbow on her finger was the best thing ever. My 6yo was not happy about the colors being mixed. If this happens, use a damp cloth to gently wipe the tops of the ink pads.

This book is fun and interactive and can be used with many different ages. My children have been able to create fingerprint art independently which I find extremely valuable when we homeschool and I need some uninterrupted time to work with an older child. There is a lot of room for creativity but there are also easy to follow instructions for children that prefer this. It is 32 pages long.

My son (4 yrs old) loved this book! The ink easily wiped off with a baby wipe, and he had so much fun creating different scenes and adding details to his fingerprints. This is a great book for an on-the-go activity too for a plane ride or road trip.

The finger print examples in this book are so much fun! My son loves recreating them! It’s such a unique and inviting way to learn while still being very hands on!
