MaxTite Isopropyl Alcohol 99.9% (1 Gallon (32oz, 4 Pack))

This alcohol is pure and works perfectly for cleaning fiber optic splices. It evaporates quickly without leaving residue. The bottles are a good size for both shop and field use. Great quality and value for the price.

Great for Electronics cleaning

I've been using this for a while to clean the heads on my reel to reel tape deck. It has worked really well. While I can't be sure that it's definitely 99.9%, it is a very high percentage of isopropyl, which I can tell since it evaporates evenly and quickly off of a piece of glass. Try that with 70% from a drug store and it takes a long time to fully evaporate. Also, while this states it's not for medical use (and you shouldn't use it to sanitize anything. 70% is actually the most effective in breaking down cell walls and destroying bacteria. It's counter-intuitive, since most of the time, a higher percentage of something will be more effective, but alcohol is an exception) I have poured some over a bandaid before removing since it softens the glue and makes removal much less painful. With that, it will also remove glue residue from many surfaces. It can sometimes take a little work, but it's effective. I'll give the standard disclaimer that you should always "try it in a small and inconspicuous spot first". I would follow that since it can definitely damage some surfaces; especially finishes and clear plastics. Three more things: 1) seal the bottle well and keep it in a dark and not-too-warm place, otherwise it will evaporate the contents of the bottle quickly. 2) keep in mind that you should try not to breathe this in (you're probably going to be fine if it's just a small amount) and keep in mind that this is incredibly flammable since it vaporizes quickly. Don't light anything near it, nor use it in any kind of heating or lighting device unless it says to do so and you know what you're doing. This is strong stuff. 3) Wear eye protection and try not to get too much on your skin since it will absorb into it.

All you need is this and a microfiber cloth to clean you screens on all your electronics. No more streaks. My computer guru recommended this. Just put some on your cloth and wipe your screens. After reading comments on so many cleaners I was scared to take a chance so I asked him what he uses and he showed me. He uses it on all electronics like phones, computers and TVs. It dries before it has a chance to streak. It smells like alcohol but it's gone in seconds as it dries. I poke a hole in the foil under the cap and just dribble some on a cloth. It cleans well and dries immediately.

If you are cleaning electronics I would consider 90% as a cheaper alternative, however; unless heavily soiled with otherwise insoluble residue.

Needed 99 percent Iso alcohol to clean things, like shellac residue on tools and brushes. One of the nicest features about this bottle of Isopropyl alcohol is that it fits an empty ZEP spray bottle. If you have a ZEP spray bottle, you can replace the empty bottle on the ZEP bottle with this full bottle of Isopropyl. That is an idea of forward thinking on the part of MaxTite that wins everytime. The mating of the ZEP spray top fits like a glove with the MaxTite full bottle of Iso, so you can spray a napkin with the Iso, and wipe down cell phone screens, erasing germs and finger prints. As a wood worker, the Iso solution is great for cleaning wood working tools like hand planes, and chisels. It also helps wipe down your bench and other items stained with shellac. In fact shellac dilutes with grain alcohol, but the Maxtite Iso is good for wiping down the workspace, without wasting the grain alcohol, as grain alcohol is used in hand sanitizer and is more expensive than Iso. Woodworker tip: stay away from ready made shellac and instead make your own with grain alcohol and shellac flakes.

What can you say, it good quality! Used for thinning and cleaning airbrushes.

By far the best price for 1 gallon of 99% IPA. It works super well on cleaning resin prints and the smell isn't that strong
