how often should I use one?

We use one every 3-4 months. Depends how often one brushes his/her teeth & duration of brushing. We figured that once the bristles aren't as sturdy, per se; that is, they are softer than when first started using the toothbrush...it is time to change! Well, that's what we do here at our home. So far, it works grreat! :) Hope this helps!
