PowerA Dual Charging Station for Xbox Series X|S - Black

I live in a house with 3 kids who can be rough on controllers. After I noticed we were going through batteries like crazy, I realized the culprit was a controller that had the micro USB cable inserted improperly/bent while in use so many times that the port was more or less no longer functional, so they'd just been manually replacing AA batteries, and due to habits such as leaving the controller on when not in use, were burning through 2 batteries almost every day. Wanting to nip this unnecessary expenditure in the bud before it really started to add up, I found these. I'll be honest, I just looked for the cheapest ones I could find and called it a day. I assumed only one pack would be included at that price, but I only needed one, so it was alright. Not only did I receive TWO, a pleasant surprise, but I also realized that the packs do not charge via the controller's built-in charging port, (which was destroyed on the controller in question) but they actually have their own separate Micro USB charging port on the battery pack itself. A very convenient workaround which allowed me to essentially bypass the broken charging port and restore the otherwise good and working controller to full and proper function. Not only that, but when it was inevitably misplaced (I don't know how, considering the way you attach it to the controller mounts it on there pretty good, but these kids have never ceased to surprise me) I had a backup already ready to replace it. Excellent product, works as intended, very reasonable price, you get two, you can charge it on or off the controller via any micro USB cable, and it can also serve as a workaround if you have a damaged charging port on your controller. Would highly recommend.

These poor things have been working hard for years, although my headsets and adapters are making charging more frequent(every other day), the long charging cable included makes it super easy, barely an inconvenience. Includes backplate for both Series X and Xbox One controllers(XB1 model 1537, 1708). Battery pack ports and cable is micro USB. It won't show that the battery is charging on xbox menu, but pack will light orange and will turn white once finished.

Gets the job done. Includes 2 back plates for the controller. One is for an Xbox One controller, the other is for Xbox Series X controllers. To get it on, you have to really line up the edges, but it's doable. I don't understand some of the other reviewers complaints on this topic, but I'd imagine some manufacturing happens out of spec and it just doesn't fit. I haven't tested it for sessions longer than 3 hours, but it holds up just fine if you're like me and need to fit gaming in after the wife and kids go to bed. There's a little light under the stand that isn't very bright, but switches from orange to white when the controller reaches full charge. The stand also has a (useless) feature where I can click into an up position for display purposes. It doesn't charge in this position and is .25 inches taller so I don't get why it has it.. I expect the battery won't last forever, and when it eventually goes out, I'll switch to another charging stand. $20 isn't meant to last forever. Overall, happy with the purchase.

Overall, the charging station itself is a phenomenal purchase, however there are a few notes to consider about the rechargeable batteries that come with it. First, the rechargeable batteries have a small window, or 'sweet spot', where they must sit on the charging station in order for them to actually charge. This sweet spot can be difficult to find, and it often led to frustration. Lastly, after only about a month, the battery packs corroded and they became unusable. The connections to the controller were fine, but the contacts between the charging station and the packs themselves became dingey and then would not take charge. However, for the lower price than the name brand, and the option to replace the rechargeable battery packs, the charging station itself is a great item.

I have used this every day since I recieved it. I hate buying endless batteries for my controllers, so this was a must have when i upgraded to the Series X and my old fosman charger and battery packs wouldn't work for my new controller. I still have an Xbox one custom controller which I love, and this lovely item lets me use both controllers and keep them both charged easily. If tou also have both styles of controller and need an easy way to keep them charged, this is a very good investment.

This was very easy to use and connect very nice for charging

These work great... for about the first 30 charge cycles or so.... Then they stop charging up to 100%... (about 75% if your lucky) then after another handful of charge cycles they just die on you and refuse to hold a charge anymore. I've bought two sets of these over the last 2 years. They will definitely work in a pinch if you dont play very often, but if you play a lot, like me, and dont want to replace them again and again, just save your money and buy something a little better. These are ok for someone who doesn't game for hours on end or if you need something cheaper than batteries to hold you over. They just wore out too quick for me. (Twice)

Really good capacity and easy to use. One thing I wish is that the cover was more durable. The thing holding the cover snapped off for me
