Disappointed
The screws and screw driver were too tiny to get the wheels on.

10 year old loved these
Super fun project and my son could do it without my help. He was really proud of how awesome they looked!

Kids love it, wheels a little tricky
I got this for my sons and their friends. They range in age from 6 to 9.Pros:- Plenty of skin options for kids to pick from, no fighting surprisingly!- Kids were super excited to play with them.- Price is very reasonable for what you get.Cons:- OMG, are the screws tiny! Lots of little pieces to install the trucks and none of the kids in our age group could do it, so an adult needs to be on hand to help.- The screws that attach the trucks to the board are slightly too long so it’s impossible to get the wheels to affix flush to the bottom of the board. And without that fit the glue is useless. Your best bet is to use a lot of super glue but that’s not something for kids to do.Overall, aside from possibly going blind during construction this was a really fun activity and the kids really enjoyed playing with their skateboards.

Difficult for younger kids but ok with help from a parent or older child
Gave 2 of these kits to two 8 year olds for Christmas presents. Some steps are relatively easy- i.e. - cutting out the skateboard skins (the graphics for the board), or putting on the stickers at the end that will decorate the board. The 8 year olds were even able to screws in to the wheels after demonstrating how to do it (they couldn't understand from the directions and all the parts with two different types of screws). The most difficult part, where an older child or adult is needed is actually putting the skins/graphics on the board. After cutting the skins out, you have to submerge the skins in water (in a bowl), put the board in water on top of them, and then wrap the skin around the board, all while still in the water. The skin becomes "delicate" in the water and tear easily, so we had some torn skins (luckily they give you extra, because we ruined a few). When you take the whole thing out of the water, board and skin, you have to smooth the skin down to get the bubbles out without tearing the skin and let it dry. Fun kit, but expect to help with some steps or give to older child.

TERRIBLE - WASTE OF MONEY
These are hard to assemble if not often impossible with some of the pieces and if you do get it together, they are non-functional.I spent DAYS trying to get them together. The screws and screwdriver are incredibly tiny. I would leave and come back due to hand fatigue. One might decide to super glue the wheel assemblies onto the board but that won’t help verymuch. The one I did get together as directed doesn’t roll. If you pick it up, you can spin the wheel freely but once on the table the wheels don’t spin the moment you apply even a tiny bit of pressure to do a trick. I tried out individual wheel assemblies that I couldn’t get attached and they do not roll either even with varied adjustments to wheel tension. I have a disappointed 10-year-old now. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Excellent
My daughter loves these! Very cool idea, wasn't much of a mess neither. Will be buying again for my brother.

Missing pieces
Item arrived without the skins. Unfortunately I was using it as a birthday party activity and didn't check the box until the time of the party, otherwise I would have returned. I had the kids just paint the decks instead of the hydro dipping. Very disappointed. Other than the missing skins (which is almost the whole point), the product worried great and the kids thought building their own skateboard was cool.
