Works great to replace cord tilt with wand tilt for ease and safety

I had broken tilt mechanisms in a half dozen blinds in my home. The blinds are at least 22 years old, so I doubted they could be fixed. But when I took a set of blinds down recently for a paint job, I took a good look at the mechanism inside, watched a how-to video and realized how simple the repair was if you could find the right part. That’s the trick: take out the old part, compare it to the product images on Amazon, do the measurements of your part and the products offered, and especially check the shape of the rod (hex or square) and its width. My first order of another product was wrong simply because I misjudged my rod. This was one of the easiest repair jobs I have done, as it just snaps in with no tools, and the part seems quite sturdy. I’m thrilled!

Take measurements to make sure you have the right type of replacement. The guts are made of metal which appears to be a lot more durable. It replaced a unit over 20yrs. old that was made of plastic. The old unit started to skip as you turned the wand. I took it a part, which reviled a chip in the corkscrew part of the wand mechanism. I am not sure way the new unit turns the opposite way from the original but it does. The money I saved from being a new one and the ease on the environment I can live with that small inconvenience.

Purchase these to replace existing broken wand on 2 inch blinds. It takes time to properly remove the blinds open the end, move the shaft to remove and replace the wand... The metal components will last longer, however the only negative is these are very difficult to turn as opposed to the original plastic wand.

My 20-year old plastic tilts for my 2 in. wood blinds finally broke. These replacements fit perfectly into my 1/4 inch square rod and into the brackets, which measure 2 in. by 2 1/4 inches high. These new metal tilts work easier than the replaced plastic ones.Easy to install as well, after I fiddled with the 1/4 in. rod and opened both of the bracket end tabs so that I could slide the rod off the plastic tilts and then onto my new replacements.

The description of the items is accurate. After viewing a few videos on youtube, we identified the correct part and size profile. The videos are very easy to follow. The part slipped right in. I just wish it snapped into the shade on both edges and not just one. I only rated it 4 stars for sturdiness not 5 because I'm a little leary on how long it will last.

Measurement for correct size is critical. I purchased one first before ordering a larger quantity to replace several existing ones that were broken. Installation was easy and product fit well. The product seems durable though only time will tell.

I bought the wrong parts the rod is hexagon and the parts has square that the rod would not even turn. Will return this and buy the right ones.

I fixed the old one with great difficulty and I will not try the new one until the fixed one breaks Therefore, I do not know for sure that it will fit. However, it seems to be very well made>
