Essentials of Abnormal Psychology

I got this book for my abnormal psychology. I borrowed a copy from the library for a week and then knew I had to BUY the book. This is definately one I will put on my shelf and continue to refer to in the future. It includes the DSM-5 for many conditions and is an easy read.The authors go out of their way to convey the message. Their information is clear and easy to relate to. My teacher swears by this book and now I do as well! :)

Brought as required textbook for UC San Diego PSYC100: Clinical Psychology.Used the textbook for the entire quarter with the class. This text provides a comprehensive overall approach to understanding the different forms of brain disorders from anxiety to eating disorders. In addition, there were brain disorders that I had not even heard of as well.It is a great text for class or to gain a further understanding on abnormal psychology and the field of clinical psychology.

This is a great value for an abnormal psychology book that treats you many concepts and techniques involved with this topic.

It's for college... what more do I need to say. At least it was cheaper than the college was going to charge me.

I never read too much of the book since my professor went over mostly everything he tested on in class. But when i did read the info it was very organized and made a lot more sense than any other psychology book i have read

The book covers the new changes to the DSM. Previous difference between the DSM 4 and DSM 5 are especially detailed along with a new improved break down of topics. However, the book is too pricy since its pretty new. There is no digital version as of its current date, only a hardcover or looseleaf option.

Lots of info and includes stories and backgrounds on both of the author's own experiences with certain cases. Easy to read even though it's a lot of pages. It's interesting enough.
