It's exactly what I wanted.
First This is not perfect, But it does exactly what I was looking for. First I considered the regular twister Jar, but I didn't want the bulk of storing it and I would hardly make anything that would warrant the portion size it can deliver. And since this was about half the price of the large one and included the spatula I found it a good addition to my Wildside Jar.What was I looking for? Basically I wanted something that I could make icecream/sorbet/forzen yogurt with relative ease and consistent results, and hopefully being able to use it as a food processor. The icecream recipes for the wildside never really worked out as well as I would have liked, so I have been pleasantly surprised with the frozen yogurt and sorbet I've made. I'll toss in some frozen fruit, a bit of agave and a tiny bit of water (more on that later), and in 50 seconds I have a perfect serving of Sorbet (depending on your definition of sorbet that is).I also made the hummus recipe in the booklet and it worked quite nicely. the only other thing I've used this for was to make Tahini (ingredient used in humus). I haven't made peanut butter because I have a process that takes only two cycles in the wildside without having to mess with it (and without oil)The "recipe" book isn't that great, it only has a handful of recipes, and I didn't see them give any hints on how to convert regular twister jar recipes to the Mini. I couldn't find any useful info on this product before I bought it. The only recipe I've made in the book is the humus. But don't ignore the booklet, it tells you how to clean it, because if you just follow the process for the other jars you will find yourself all wet.Which leads me to my last point, the reason it isn't perfect. the lid is not sealed (most likely so you can rotate it while it's blending). If you put too much water in it and start blending it will shoot out of the jar with colored traces of whatever it was blending (no chucks though). At first I put water to the point where it was touching the bottom of the blade. If you have frozen fruit and that amount of water it will shoot up and out around the "lid" and hit whatever appliances, walls and people that are around it. I've adjusted my process to having just a tiny bit of water and it hasn't happened since.I haven't used the regular twister jar, but if you are looking for the features of the twister jar, but with smaller portions I would recommend the mini.

Kitchen Unitasker (but a very high quality one...)
I really, really wanted to like this product. However, no matter how many times I told myself "but I can make ___ with it!" I found it to be a kitchen unitasker, good only for nut butters. I have a BlendTec blender with both a standard and Wild Side jar.I bought the large and small twister jars to test them out. I made nut butter, of course, which came out wonderful. No disputing that this jar is great for nut butter. But my grocery store sells their own nut butter without any additives, and I'd have to live off the stuff for years before I recoup the cost of this jar. I wanted to use it for so much more. All the BlendTec recipes can be made using any of their jars, the only difference being that some jars perform better for some recipes and some jars allow you to make more than others. I was hoping the twister jar would do double duty and allow me to make single size smoothies so I wouldn't have to break out and clean the square jar. Well, the large twister jar does - it even has a spout and a tight fitting lid which is great for this. But it's just as tall as the square jar and because it's circular, it doesn't perform as well with frozen ingredients. I'd be willing to trade some performance for the small twister jar, but it doesn't have a spout and therefore you can't use the tight fitting lid that comes with the large jar, because it won't fit.Sigh... in the end, I sent the two twister jars back. In a perfect world, I'd buy a BlendTec setup as follows: One WildSide jar (best all around performance, and large capacity) and one small twister jar (IF, big IF, they redesigned it and supplied it with a tight fitting lid and pour spout). Those would be the only two jars I'd really need and would serve two different purposes.

Overkill for baby food, but awesome jar. Created a sealed lid with rubber bands.
Overkill for baby food, but awesome jar.Pro:1: Good size2. Power full3. Long warrantyCon:1. Too powerful for baby food, makes it into sauce. Prefer something a bit less powerful so the food has more texture.Found a solution for the loose cover, I know its suppose to be loose, but sometimes you want to have seal on the lid. I used 2 rubber bands, 1 on top of the other, works like a charm.

Buy the full sized twister jar.
I wished I'd used it earlier. That way I could have returned it for the regular twister jar. I tried to make almond/sunflower seed butter in it and the almonds kept getting stuck under the blade causing my blender to error out. For what it's worth, it did make the butter. If you're on the fence on whether you want the mini or regular twister jar, get the regular sized twister jar. The mini is too limited. I can't see making ice cream or hummus is the thing. The spatula thing is very nice. Scrapes the jar with ease. But all in all, I can work with it, but I would not recommend it to someone who does not have one.

Get the Twister Jar, not the Mini Twister
I LOVE the Twister jar and wanted something for very small batches, but the Mini Twister isn't as useful as I thought it would be. I'm not disappointed, but I would probably not buy it again. If you are trying to decide between the Mini Twister and the regular Twister, go with the Twister jar. If you are trying to decide yes or no on the Twister, then I HIGHLY recommend it. I use it daily. The spatula that comes with it is amazing too. I love Blendtec, and even though their products are pricey the quality is phenomenal and I believe worth every penny.

Jar too small to be useful for our needs
The Mini Twister jar is simply too small to be useful in our situation. I returned it for that reason. What rankles somewhat, however, is that in the end we ended up paying about $20 in shipping charges. We ordered and received from Costco the larger Twister jar which is everything we could have expected. Only quibble is that it is very noisy. However, a decision to return it would not have incurred costs.
