Excellent dashcam
Straightforward install and once it's fully installed, you can leave it indefinitely. A bit pricy, but I find it well worth it. I find the field of view a bit underwelming. While it does captures what's infront, it will not capture much of the sides. Could be improved. Overall, a great dashcam, just make sure you get a solid microsd card to match.

Excellent but might not last after 3 - 4 years
This is my 3rd camera. Unfortunately the last one stopped working after 3 years but since I had hard wired I stall went with same model now. Quality is very good b

2-3 years later, I got rear-ended!
I have had this dashcam for about 2-3 years. Dashcam works great! The size is perfect and does not instruct my view while driving at all. Viewing the footage from your phone can be a pain since the Wi-Fi connectivity is slow. The download does take a bit too. But I have been able to pull footage reliably. I mostly had practice navigating the app and getting used to the download/viewing times when I would pull footage of my friends and I being silly in the car. But I literally got rear ended yesterday and was able to clearly without a doubt catch the license plate of the car that hit me and drove off. I offered the information to the police, and I was able to get the driver's info, vehicle info, and insurance info from the authorities today! Without the rear dashcam I would have zero information of the rear end hit and run, and barely any info to submit to insurance. I was able to submit dashcam footage of the rear end (rear camera) and the fact my light was red (front camera), plus the information the officer got for me about the other person. The claim is still being reviewed/processed right now. But I am hoping it goes well and my monthly bill doesn't change so much! If so, then this dashcam that I paid for 2-3 years ago just saved me hundreds if not thousands of dollars. Now my family is thinking of getting front and rear dashcams as well! I have had zero issues with the adhesive and the mounts for both front and rear have never fallen, even in the hot California summers! It is a breeze to get the camera off of the mounts if need be. It's quick to get the front camera off the mount and get the mocroSD card out. I have no issues with the camera operating in hot weather. I can't really speak for cold. The features the camera has is awesome. The G-sensor is something I'll always have on, even if it means sometimes I have locked footage of driving over a very intense speed bump in a parking lot. I also have footage of myself closing the trunk when I return to the car because of the G-sensor, but I trust this is something I can live with if it means the footage will 100% be saved when I do get hit. There's also exposure settings for each camera, which can be useful if you have tint on the rear window. I adjusted my rear exposure slightly up just to comoensate for the rear window's tint at night. You can adjust the settings so your speed, GPS coordinates, license plate, and date and time to a part of the footage. For parking mode I use low bitrate recording, which is how I don't mind the issue I am currently facing (mentioned later in this review). But it's also just for the best in case the auto detection or motion sensing or something doesn't pick up something. Also, the low bitrate recording with audio on means of your car gets hit or broken into, you can at least hear the incident if it's not in view of the cameras. However, the camera does not notify is footage was locked while it was on parking mode. You'd have to connect to the dashcam with your phone and check the locked footage. Less than ideal but at the very least, the footage is locked so it's definitely there if something significant triggers the G-sensor. I do recommend trying to have the camera sync to your phone so it can automatically adjust the hours when daylight savings comes around. I have an ongoing issue with the camera not switching into driving mode if it has been in parking mode, which can be annoying but doesnt affect what is recorded, just wat folder the footage gets saved to. I probably just need to replace a fuse tap or something, because it was working fine for about a year before it started tweaking like this. Customer service did respond quickly, and they did offer to send me another hardwiring kit which I refused since I wanted to mess with the current one I have a bit more (and I think I did have to pay for shipping...). Overall, this dashcam came it handy when I needed it to! The speed/lag of the app can be frustrating, especially if you want to get footage quickly. And needing to pay for shipping for a hardwire kit is also annoying. But you can always get the footage and the G-sensor helps ensure the footage of any massive shock to your car is locked right away, to not be overwritten. There are some user experience items with the app that can be streamlined or easier to understand. But regardless it is reliable and helped tremendously with my recent rear-end hit-and-run.

If you want a dashcam, this is the best.
I love the low profile design, I have had this one for a few years and luckily the only time that I have had to mess with it is when I change the time. It's worked perfectly and the image is clear. I had to mount the rear camera upside down and was able to just rotate the video on the device itself. I haven't checked to see if they have an updated model out, but this one is well worth it.

Makes me feel protected
I recently purchased this dash cam and it has been a game changer for my driving experience. The video quality is crystal clear and the night vision is good. The dash cam also has a wide-angle lens which captures everything in front of my vehicle. The device is also very easy to install and the interface is user-friendly. One of the features that I love the most about this dash cam is its automatic recording when I start the car and stops when I turn it off. This is a great feature for people who are always on the go and forget to turn the device on or off. I went an extra mile connected the dash cam by using hardwire kit. There are several tutorials that you can find on youtube and follow them to install the dashcam. The dash cam also has a built-in GPS which tracks my speed and location, which is very helpful in case of an accident. The device also has a loop recording feature which automatically overwrites old footage when the memory card is full. For some reason, after installing the dashcam, it would restart, turnoff without any warning. It turns out, there was a problem with the GPS module through which I was powering the dashcam. When I contacted the manufacturer, they immediately shipped a new GPS module free of charge. So, I appreciate that.

I picked up the VIOFO Dual Dash Cam during a sale, and honestly, it's the best dashcam I've owned so far. The 2K 1440P at 60fps front camera delivers super clear footage, even at higher speeds, and the rear 1080P does a solid job capturing everything behind the car. Setup was straightforward, and the video quality both day and night is excellent. The build feels premium, and the features like loop recording, G-sensor, and parking mode work flawlessly. It gives me peace of mind while driving, knowing that both front and rear views are being recorded with such clarity. Definitely worth it especially at the price I paid during the sale.

Purchased this almost half a year back, has been a great product overall with no issues so far. The app has been flawless so far as well, and the length of wire for the back camera was more than sufficient (actually a bit too much but I do have a smaller car :P) I actually really love the fact that it comes with multiple glue/adhesive strips, really great addition and removes any tension of what to do if its falls off. On that note I should mention that the strips provided are VERY strong, so make sure you plan well ahead where it is going to be stuck since you might find it hard to remove later. I would recommend you get a good SD card to put inside (you might want to go for more endurance than performance, since it is not how fast the card gets written, but repeated writing cycles that it had to manage for long periods of time) That being said, I do wish for two things tho: 1. I think the SD card ejection slot could do with a little bit of improvement, since it's REALLY hard to take it out once it's put in. I get the idea that once you put it in, you probably will not take it out, but if you could make the slot a little bigger for the future it would be nice. 2. I think the app / new user guide could also do with a bit of a rework or freshening up since less tech savvy people might have a bit of trouble following the instructions and getting a grip on how it all works. Overall a great & solid product 4.9/5

Number plate of the car right in front is blown out in the night from your cars headlight. Other than that it works well enough.

I installed this about six months ago and it's just worked as expected since then without any intervention on my part. I've had reason to pull videos from it twice since then and the quality was quite as good as expected. It's a bit of a pain to install (as is any camera with a wired rear secondary cam) as you need to pull off various trim parts to hide to wiring to the rear of the car, but it's really not that hard to figure out, and if that's something you don't want to do it's cheap enough to have it installed professionally (or you can just leave wires hanging around your car if you don't mind looking like a grot). Overall, if you're willing to commit to the installation, the device itself is worthwhile. I did also purchase the optional wiring kit to allow it to be wired into the car's fusebox so it works in "parking mode" as well but to date haven't bothered with it - it works well enough plugged into the cigarette lighter socket. I still think it's a good idea and would make for a neater install... it's just waiting for the day when I have plenty of time to kill and nothing more interesting to do.
