Item as described / Great rack for the $ / Put it together loosely, then tighten all
For the money, I am really pleased with this rack. It is quite sturdy. I bought the one with the umbrella stand. The instructions are just pictures, but that is all you need. The only other instruction that some might need is to put it together loosely, then tighten everything up. I had no issues with the included Allen wrench stripping out either.

“Some assembly required”
Let me start by saying this is a great, sturdy and good looking piece for (industrial style) decor. The only downside I found was that it’s not exactly precision made. By that I mean screw holes are very slightly off as they are I’m sure mass produced by automated processes. The slight errors make it a little difficult to assemble it, you might need to apply some force to slightly bend components. The screws aren’t in marked bags to show what goes where. And last but not least the manual consists of four very vague drawings and NO WORDS(!) to explain anything. After all with some common sense and a little technical understanding almost anyone can put it together.Mine turned out slightly crooked due to the small errors in pre-drilled holes but once it’s full of coats it’s not really noticeable.

Worked out well in the end
I took a chance on this from Amazon Warehouse because of the price. After reading many of the negative reviews here, I wasn't sure what to expect.I assembled the base and the pole first, which were all fairly straightforward. For the base, I assembled everything very loosely to give me wiggle room to make all the holes line up, then screwed everything pretty tight. The issue from several reviews and my own experience is the top. Those hooks are tricky and the screws do seem shorter than they should be. But what I did is screw the top hole of each hook very loosely, just enough to catch and stay in the hole securely, then screw the bottom hole just tight enough so there's no wiggle in the hook. Any tighter would pop out the top screw, so you don't want to go too tight (unlike the base which, as I mentioned above, I made very tight). I was worried this method would make the hooks unsturdy, but I've had a jacket or sweatshirt on every hook for 2 weeks now and no issues. It's also pretty level with no lean, which I read in reviews could be an issue. All in all it's working very well and I am pleased with my purchase.

Poor manufacturing & needs extra screws to assemble
🚨🚨 Be careful when buying this item!! Additional screws needed for assembly! 🚨🚨This is the first time I’m writing a review of any product purchased from Amazon and I’ve been a customer w/ them for over 13 years ... the item is sturdy as it’s made out of metal. The overall issue is the design or manufacturing of it is extremely poor! Look at the pictures I supplied to notice that the screws aren’t long enough for some of the connections. I tried placing the screws in the top section first and either the nut is too far in for the screw to reach or the screw just isn’t long enough. This is the problem with the entire top section and also for one of the connections at the base.In order to make this work I had to run to the local hardware store to purchase additional screws! I purchased 1/4in sized screw hole (20x1-1/4)Overall, it’s a sturdy coat holder and exactly what I needed. But the added headache of running to the hardware store (during the COVID era) and searching for the correct screws, the additional costs and travel makes this item 1 star overall. The only reason I didn’t bother to replace this item is the box it came in is a very thin box and was tapped up by UPS during shipment because it came apart. Plus, I’m certain by the time I went to box this up and I’d have to get shipping tape, run to the UPS shilling store, the replacement one most likely would have the similar issues and all that would’ve been for nothing. That’s why I made the repairs myself. Very disappointed in this purchase. Not to go without mentioning the screws I purchased are not black and I could not locate black screws. That’s the issue thing about purchasing online and not from the local businesses. Once you buy it it’s a huge problem if there’s an issue or something like this needs to be returned.

Good value for the money
Overall the rack looks nice and is fairly sturdy. Assembly was a bit frustrating due to the base portion being tight and pulling away from where it needed to be secured. By the time you get to the last screw it took a couple people pulling it together to get the screw close enough to catch, even when only barely tightening each screw.
