Back support brace
Nice product. I mistakenly thought it was one of the sweat braces, for work out. (Came up in the search). This is really just a back brace. The price was not bad, and it seems to be a good brace so I will keep it, because you never know when you might need good back support. I can see heavy lifters wearing it.

Ehh...
The front of this was so narrow; the back had full coverage and great support but barely covered any part of my stomach in the front.

Good Support; Watch the Size
This Portzon Waist Trainer Belt works very well for lower back support. Four firm vertical ribs sewn into the back of the belt equalize the tension and prevent rolling or slipping. The main length of the belt wraps the waist, secured by a generous Velcro panel, after which the wide elastic bands at either side can be stretched and secured, again by Velcro, to maintain the desired degree of compression. The system is very well built using high quality materials and has none of those "rubber odors" that plague many similar products. I find I am able to lift much larger weights without pain, either at the time or later, when wearing this belt.My only caveat is to note that while the secondary elastic bands offer plenty of stretch, the main belt itself is true to size and does not stretch much at all. Although it will easily accommodate sizes somewhat smaller than the size range indicates, if your waist size is close to the upper limit, I would suggest choosing the next larger size to ensure the main belt has enough overlap to secure well. For example, the Medium is rated to handle a 29 to 34 inch waist, but if you measure between 31 and 34, you may find the Large (33 to 37 inch) size works best. This said, though, the Portzon Waist Trainer Belt feels and looks good and works well, and I recommend it.

Good Belt!
I've been gradually increasing the amount of time that I wear this every day. I have an old back injury and this belt is a good break for the soft tissue in my back--it squishes the tissue in and up is the way it's been explained to me. I also feel that it's generally supportive to my core, and that's a good thing. Now, I will advise you not to sit down and then bend over (like to tie your shoes) with this belt on--especially with the ancillary straps engaged tightly. I've done that and it really digs into your midsection--very uncomfortable. But that would be true of all belts of this sort--nothing to do with this particular brand.I can't really speak to weight loss, but I do feel like I look thinner since I've been wearing this.Overall this is working for me.Highly Recommended!!!

Bonus back relief
I bought this as a waist trainer to wear when I work out. However, this makes my back feel so good that now I'm wearing it for relief! This may not be the case for everyone but since this works in 2 ways for me, this is an easy 5-star review. I have similar intended products - a long cincher with 'bones' (metal rods) that literally hinders breathing and takes an excessive amount of time to get on. I also have a rubber-lined one that does work in that you sweat constantly, but it's flimsy and always rolls down. This product on the other hand doesn't cost $50 and isn't flimsy. Wrap around the generous straps, then tie the heavy-duty velcro. My back felt so secure and supported - and I could still breathe and walk! This really is so much better than my last 2 and I would gladly recommend this.

review for waist trainer
The reviews here are a mixed bag ( pun intended) of punching bags and waist trainers - trainers of a few types apparently. The waist trainer I am reviewing is as the product photo - it wraps around your waist and has side elastic that you pull to tighten further around your waist. It is easy to put on and very comfortable. I've had it on for a few hours and it feels fine. I like the boning in the back especially as it helps support my lower back and also I sit up straighter. I'm hoping the belt helps me to keep my muscles pulled in and not pooch out. So far so good.
