Double Tap (Code 11- KPD SWAT Book 2)

Pretty interesting idea.... too many for being this far into a SECOND series. Get it together!
As always her book is filled with messed up sentences.... it should be getting better not worse. And I'm 95% sure that Ms. Vale meant "viviendo en pecado" which means living in sin... she wrote percado.... I Googled that and couldn't find percado in any language. I'm really confused.... if Georgia's mom was such a great mom than why did she let her husband abuse her children??? Letting him beat on her was bad enough but continuing to allow someone to abuse your kids makes you just as bad... if not worse! Did she not know or was she pretending it was only happening to her.... what is up with the awful ridiculous names of some of these characters?? One man (a lawyer or a cop) was named Rotund... this poor fake baby was named Bourne... it's really really bad lol

FIVE 'BABYLOVE' STARS!
I'm an unashamed, unabashed enormous fan of the incredibly talented Lani Lynn Vale. Her books, which - thankfully - release on a regular schedule at the beginning of each month, are very much looked forward to, waited upon with anticipation and schedule-clearing planned for reading events to which I devote distraction-free chunks of my time to properly savor and experience the LLV goodness that has just landed in my hands. I have yet to be disappointed by one of her stories.Nico and Georgia fell in love at first sight when she was 13 and he was 17. Nico knew in his heart there would be no other for him, just as Georgia knew Nico was it for her. Being the good Catholics that they were, they didn't act on this attraction until Georgia turned 18. When it finally seemed that everything they were waiting for was within their grasp, a tragic, life altering event tore them apart. Georgia needed time to heal, and Nico knowing where she was, gave it to her.Meanwhile, Nico served his time as a SEAL, suffering through his own tragedies, until he was discharged and then joined the Kilgore PD's SWAT team. When Georgia finally returned 8 years later, their attraction was still as strong as it was when she left, and they immediately picked up where they left off. Nico was done giving her time, and Georgia was done needing it. These two were meant to be, they were fated for each other, it's just that life got in the way for a while.Nico was such a refreshing, sweet and sexy change of pace and a truly special surprise of a guy. He came off as a somewhat dark, a bit scary and brooding character in Center Mass (Luke & Reese's story). I honestly didn't know what to expect going in to this book, but it sure as hell wasn't what Lani gave us. Nico is so much more than he was portrayed to be, and I positively adored every single thing about him. He has easily earned the top spot as my favorite Lani Lynn Vale hero, and he had that position wrapped up tight before the end of the second chapter. I just loved absolutely everything about this book!!Lani writes the kind of stories that hit all my favorite components of a well executed book. Hot alpha male heroes, smart and sassy heroines, supporting characters whose stories you can't wait for, an interesting and exciting plot, and a story written with the perfect blend of hilarious, sarcastic humor and steamy sexiness all wrapped up in a well written and richly developed story. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention those fantastic little quotes at the start of each chapter which are easily some of the funniest one (or two or four) liners I've ever read in print anywhere. Perfection!! Without any hesitation or reservation, Lani Lynn Vale is a never to be missed, eagerly anticipated, top favorite author of mine. Auto-buying her work is an absolute no brainier for me.

Crazy in love with Nico & Georgia!
Another great read by author Lani Lynn Vale! It was full of swoon, humor, intrigue, heartbreak and happiness. I liked it. A lot.I have nothing but mad love for Nico and Georgia. Everything about them and their relationship felt so right, so natural... so real. I LOVED their shared history. The importance of family, their religious beliefs, their mutual love of soccer and their undeniable chemistry helped to build such a strong and everlasting foundation to their relationship. Nico and Georgia were dynamite (both in & out of the bedroom) and are easily one of my favorite Lani Lynn Vale couples!Nico... Oh, good gods. Just the fact that he saved himself for Georgia... well, that automatically catapulted him into my Book Boyfriend Hall of Fame. The love he had for not only Georgia but his family and his team... *le sigh* His stamina, the way he took control and his protective nature was incredibly HOT. Heck, I found it panty-melting any time his voice rasped or his eyes flared or when he called Georgia beautiful. And their first time together... well, they both painted a sexy, intense and exciting picture (or maybe more along the lines of a sex tape) for me.Georgia... She was such a fun and extremely likeable heroine! I really liked how comfortable she was in her own skin, how confident she was in her relationship with Nico and how she wasn't afraid to kick a bunch of grown men's butts out on the soccer field. I admired her strength when her and Nico were separated for a period of time (yea... that happens around the 75% mark) and totally loved her stubborn streak when trying to find out what really happened with Nico during a highly intense bust with him and his team. And the things that flew out of her mouth during a certain life-altering "event"... priceless. The supporting cast of characters was once again wonderful. I love all of the distinctive personalities they bring to the table and am excited to hear more about them in the upcoming books!I wasn't a huge fan of some of the little time jumps in the story, the ones that started around that aforementioned 75% mark. I got a bit confused in spots, when it would say three hours later or a certain number of days later because I felt like I missed something that had just happened, so I'd go back to re-read that scene one more time. Not super-distracting but I like details, which you don't necessarily get when time jumps take place.Very much looking forward to reading Downy's book, Bang Switch, next! Bring on the sexy, sweet, red headed alpha Hero!!

good read
Really enjoyed this book. This is one of the authors earlier books and just as well written and contains as much humour as her more recent works. Loved learning about Nico and Georgia, and watching their relationship grow.Good story and plenty of drama, emotions and laughs. Trying to decide whether to continue with this series or jump to the Valentine boys 🤷♀️😊

Everything and more
I first read about Georgia and Nico in the Valentine Brothers books and had to see for myself how their story began. I'm so glad I did, Nico is the perfect hero, he is everything I love I'm a romance book hero, wrapped up in the perfect package. I adored Georgia too, she is strong and sassy and doesn't back down when she believes in something. Double Tap has quickly risen to my one of my top 3 LLV books ever. It is absolutely everything and then some.

Another great, fantastic read
God!!! I live Lani Lynn Vales books. Alpha males, funny quirky heroines, hilarious banter between the friends, I don't need anything else for the fantasy life I escape to while I'm reading these books. no matter how bad my mood is these books will always take me away for a hours to forget everything else going on around me. Seriously can't wait for the next instalment next month.
