Morrison’s Lemongrass 2PK: A Little Citrus Kick for Your Kitchen Adventure
Backstory:It all started when I was attempting to level up my midweek dinners. After cycling through the usual suspects—chicken fajitas, spaghetti, and the occasional steak pitta—I decided it was time to infuse some adventure into the mix. While wandering the supermarket aisles, searching for inspiration, my eyes landed on the Morrison’s Lemongrass 2PK. Two neat, aromatic stalks of culinary potential staring back at me.I’ll admit, I had no idea what I was doing with lemongrass at first. It felt exotic, slightly intimidating even—like the kind of ingredient that turns a regular meal into something you’d pay £20 for at a fancy restaurant. Challenge accepted. Into the basket it went.Review:Pros:1. Fresh and Fragrant: The lemongrass has a wonderfully vibrant citrus aroma that immediately elevates any dish—perfect for stir-fries, curries, or even marinades.2. Versatile Use: Slice it thin, bruise it for added flavor, or steep it in hot water for a refreshing tea. It’s the multi-tool of the herb world.3. Affordable Gourmet: For a pack of two, it’s a budget-friendly way to bring restaurant-quality flavor into your kitchen.4. Decent Shelf Life: Stored properly in the fridge or freezer, the stalks stay fresh for days, giving you flexibility in your meal planning.Cons:1. Prep Work Required: Lemongrass is not exactly “grab-and-go.” You’ll need to peel away the tough outer layers and do some bruising or chopping to unlock its full potential.2. Limited Appeal for Picky Eaters: Its strong, citrusy flavor might not be for everyone. If you’re feeding a crowd, be prepared for divided opinions.3. Occasional Toughness: Some stalks can be a bit woody, making them more suited for infusing rather than direct consumption.Final Thoughts:For anyone looking to shake up their culinary routine, Morrison’s Lemongrass 2PK is a fantastic addition to the shopping list. It’s fresh, fragrant, and perfect for adding a citrusy punch to a variety of dishes. While it does require a bit of prep and might not suit every palate, the payoff is well worth the effort.Would I buy it again? Absolutely. It’s an affordable way to experiment with flavors and impress dinner guests who think you’ve suddenly turned into a professional chef. 8/10—just remember to give it a good bash with the back of a knife before throwing it in the pan!

Small
I like that they have lemongrass since it's hard to find at other supermarkets but it's half the size of what I was expecting. It's a pack of two but it's the same as buying 1 piece. My phone is bigger in length. Looking at the photo, the space between the label and the tip of the lemon grass is different from the pic and one is still shorter than the other

Good to have in hand
I am glad to buy lemon grass as I planned to cook roast chicken. Luckily it's available via Morrison as other shops do not normally carry fresh lemon grass. I would love it to be cheaper though.
