Not like picture and a Warped star
The picture shows two stars that weren't in the package I received. The thicker four pointed stars, and those two were the reason I bought this set. Instead I got 2 waves, 3 of the thinner four point stars, and 3 of the eight point stars which are absolute garbage. The eight point rubber ones tend to break after a couple throws and I think even the metal versions of this star are garbage. Also, one of the stars I received had warped points, so it can't be used. Very disappointed with this set. It's the second time SS Discount sent me crap. The first time was the wrong bokken, then they sent me the right one, but with a missing tsuba (hand guard) and they tried arguing with me that it was there, I just missed it.

Over 20 kids threw the ones that would "stick" and they are still working great 3 weeks after party
Some stars would not stick into foam - but we may have used too hard a foam (Insulation sheets from Home Depot). Yes, they do "smell" - but just aired out before party and no one complained. Over 20 kids threw the ones that would "stick" and they are still working great 3 weeks after party. Would buy again = we spray painted targets on foam sheet and throw at it one to two times a week plus what my son and friends do for fun.

Great for practice, and for home protection
These stars are rubber, but look real. Anybody can throw then into Styrofoam for fun. Definitely worth buying. I personally have to be careful because although these are perfectly harmless in an amateur's hands, they can be deadly in a master star thrower's hands (e.g. mine). I like to train with these using a piece of plywood, and I keep these on my nightstand next to my steel throwing stars just in case my house is attacked by three or more ninjas; I could use the rubber stars effectively once I ran out of my deadly versions.

Very Nice!
My son received this as a birthday gift from the "Birthday Ninja" and he was over the moon! These are well made and have a nice weight and feel to them. They come in three different star shapes. He's had a lot of fun making practice targets out of cardboard boxes and practicing his throwing skills. I don't know how long the decals will last until they wear off but I don't think he'd care if they did, he loves them so much.

Great Value. Dense Rubber. Good Practice or Toy.
Great deal. Durable. Hard, dense rubber. Could probably poke an eye out, but no more than a rock would of equal size. They smell a bit like rubber, but hey, they’re rubber. Kids love them. Have good weight to the. For practicing.

Awesome Ninja Fun
Bought these for a Ninja birthday party. They are heavy rubber and will actual sail through the air at a target... mylar balloons in our case. I could only find foam or hard plastic that didn't go far. So I was very happy when I received these. They probably would hurt a bit if thrown at people but wouldn't damage skin. They have enough weight that I would be hesitant to use them in the house if there's anything fragile. We loved these and would definitely order again.

Bruises and/or welts
I bought this to go with my stepsons ninja Halloween costume. These ninja stars not only look cool, but are made of quality rubber. My stepson took the liberty of trying these out on his friends, they indeed hurt and will leave bruises and or welts. Ninjas of all ages will enjoy practicing with these non-deadly rubber stars. Or if you're really tough, practice on your friends! Nothing is more exciting than rough housing with friends!
