Could not be happier with these knives. They are elegant and the craftsmanship is beautiful. No issues with rusting or staining. Use daily and they stay very sharp. I do hand-wash mine. I’m going for longevity with these and don’t know what the dishwasher might do over the long haul, so I err on the side of caution. My packaged arrived with marking from France. Doesn’t appear to be cheap imitation.

There is nothing to dislike. They are pieces of art. They feel good in your hands. They function perfectly. It is a joy to cut the meat with them-it slices like butter. They are so unique and so beautiful. Love them!

I've had these knives now for a month. They are sharp and light and easy to use. They feel good in the hand. They have gone in the dishwasher since first use and haven't rusted or come apart. They are made in France. The handles are a creamy ivory like described. For the price you just can't beat it. I'll probably buy more.

These knives are well made and very sharp. We discovered them when having dinner with the neighbors. They had received them as a gift that had been purchased in Paris. Came home and searched Amazon for them. Ordered immediately. They are a bit different from ordinary steak knives as they are based on a pocket knife design as I understand it. But they are balanced and it is easy to grip them. I highly recommend these.

I was so glad to find these. saw the identical knives in Paris for much more. these are beautiful tools. Sharp, elegant and easy to grip. I like the serrated edges too. they do the job well... very happy with the purchase and the price. came quickly.

I recognized the Laguiole steak knife brand name and hunting for steak knives fitting of my husband's love of a good steak or chop - I purchased these knives. I've taken my time in writing a review to see if the knives would live up to our expectations from functionality, beauty and dishwasher maintenance and I must say they are great. They work on all levels, so thank you Jean Dubost Laguiole for manufacturing this steak knife set!

These are not top of the line Laguiole knifes. But then again, I did not want to spend €300 TO €500 (EUROS) on a set. Laquiole is not a brand name, is the name of a town, and the name is not protected. Therefore these knifes can be made anywhere in the world, many of them in China, and be called Laguiole. I chose this set because at least they are made in France and they have a decent price. I have not been let down. They are very, very good at cutting.
