Just not quite what it seems to be advertised for. Good for some but not quite what most would look for

Worth it!
Really enjoy these. Even when not streaming, it upscaled the quality on my TV. LOVE IT! Plus being able to use multiple “modes” is great

For sure does NOT show up as 4 inputs on OBS
As others have said, you can get all 4 channels on ONE input then do some fancy cropping, but as stated you cut it to 1/4 the resolution which is just terrible.. If you could somehow have software that you maybe could switch sources without having to use the remote then MAYBE it would work, but you still have a second or 2 switching between cameras..

For 6 months, it's working fine. but the resolution is..
It's been 6 months, using 'ok' for my stream, but the resolution isn't as good as I expected.I'm using this Cable : https://www.amazon.ca/6-6feet-Lead-Snowkids-Compatible-Ethernet-Function/dp/B07K7HBZX2/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=hdmi+4k+cable&qid=1623922557&sr=8-5which is connected to the following laptops:- 2-years old Dell Latitude E7450ㄴ CPU: [ Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-5300U CPU @ 2.30GHz ]ㄴ GPU: [ Intel (R) HD Graphics 5500 ]- 1-yaear old Lenovo Ideapad 330ㄴ CPU: [ Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz ]ㄴ GPU: [ Intel (R) UHD Graphics 620 ]and I'm trying to stream these two screens with OBS on my main desktop, which is- 3-years Desktopㄴ CPU: [ AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Six-Core Processor ]ㄴ GPU: [ NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti ]The quality's been like this for 6 months, and I haven't refunded because I needed this at the time desperately, and at it was 'ok' for me to use - however, now the circumstances have changed and I'm looking forward to have a better quality on this screen capture on my stream.

Ok But Limited to Uses ... No Support for 4K and Not Good as a Camera Switcher
This Video Capture box is kinda cool and can display 4 HDMI sources in either Quad View, Stacked View, Picture in Picture or Full Screen. It's easy to use however it has some limitations.••• Resolution •••This box will only output 1080P resolution and will not support 4K either as an input or output;••• Camera Switcher •••This unit cannot be used as a LIVE Camera switcher because there is a LAG and On Screen Display that flashes onto the screen each time you switch on change input or audio settings.••• Audio •••While you can select and switch the audio output there is no way to monitor the audio from each feed through headphones or a monitor jack of some sort. This again limits the ability of this unit and cannot be used as a live camera video switcher.••• PROS •••This video switch does a decent job of taking four 1080P HDMI video feeds and displaying them as one 'QUAD' or 'Stacked' display on one screen. It also works well with PIP and capturing a single camera image and audio. This video switch also works nicely as a LIVE QUAD MATRIX VIDEO DISPLAY Device and is useful for displaying four HDMI Video Feeds onto a Single 1080P TV. This would work for example if you wanted to set up your own video matrix screen in your basement and project four Sports Feeds onto a big projection TV. Keep in mind you could only have Audio playing for one (1) source but you could watch 4 TV shows or live baseball, football or hockey games on one big screen. If you want to do this you will also need four (4) HDMI sources, either firesticks, Roku sticks, cable boxes or streaming boxes etc ....••• Conclusion - Recommendation •••Overall this is a very basic video capture device with the ability to capture four 1080P video feeds and output them as a single Picture in Quad, Stacked, PIP or single frame configurations. This box also provides you with the ability to select audio from a single source and output the audio as well as the video from the source you select. You can connect the video switcher to your computer where it will show up as a Capture Card or Device. You can then stream or record to your computer from the video switcherAt $200 this video capture switcher does more than single capture cards but also costs 2-4x more than a single HDMI Capture device. The switching and matrix display outputs seem appealing at first glance however they do have a number of limitations which may preclude you from using the device for the purpose you intend. Read carefully and think about what you want to do with this unit before clicking the buy now to make sure this is device will do what you want it to do.I would not recommend this unit as a live camera switcher.

Pretty good, couple of issues
At the outset, I wasn't sure what this device has as a practical application. To have this as a part of your home theatre setup might not work very well, but I don't think it's meant for that. I think streamers and content creators might get the best use out of this, but that being said it might not really fill that niche either. In terms of capture quality, it does a good job of getting 1080p footage, but it doesn't do 4k. This is ok for streaming I suppose, but if you're making professional video and need that 4k resolution, this won't foot the bill.If you're making videos and have a monitor to see your camera angles, this is a pretty good option for setting up shots with multiple cameras. If you need a way to see four sources on one monitor this is a really good option for that. You can easily set up shots from up to 4 cameras at once. For streaming this plays nicely with OBS from the one time I set it up, but it does only read as a single source. If you have an underpowered streaming rig and are OK with having a static PiP this will help by pushing one signal from two sources through your streaming rig which will cut the amount of resources needed. I have not tried this, however, because I'm not a streamer, but you could in theory get pretty creative with different options with this box.One major issue is that when you have one main source and three others in smaller boxes on screen, the largest screen gets squished into a dimensions that's smaller than 16:9, which is to say it's not full widescreen. This works if you're streaming something that's 4:3 like older video games and non-HD sources, but for HD sources this configuration doesn't work. There are a couple of good uses for this box, and I intend to continue to mess around with it to find different uses, but I'm struggling to justify the price. This is a really expensive box, but I also haven't seen another product that does what it does. There are very specific applications in which this would be very useful, so you'll have to judge for yourself whether the price is worth it to you. On it's face, it's a high-quality product that seems well built, and will capture in decent quality from your four sources.

Good for PIP and video capture.
This is an excellent multi channel HDMI video capture card that also has PIP (picture in picture) capabilities. It can be used as a HDMI switch or to view multiple HDMI signals at one time. Most of the time I use it to capture gameplay or to overlay a game window over a TV show. Video capture works well, there is zero lag, both the video and sound are perfectly in sync. The controls on the unit and remote control are uncomplicated and work perfectly. The overall quality and performance of this capture card is excellent.
