FRANKE Heating Tank Little Butler

Was easy to install and works great.

I installed this tank heater on 1/21/2022. And it has been working fine until this morning when I woke up with no hot water coming out of the faucet. I checked all the connections. There is no leak and water is supplied to the tank. Yet the lights just keep flashing in sequence and no heating noise. I will try to contact Franke because it has 5 year warranty. Hopefully, Amazon is an authorized dealer. Updated 07/06/2024. Franke did honor the warranty and sent me a replacement on 07/17/2023. Today it stops working again. Same issues. scrolling lights with no hot water. Today is Saturday, so I'll wait till Monday and contact Franke again. Whether they honor their warranty again or not, I'm looking for another brand.

I love green tea. This new Franke (replacement) tank swapped in for my leaking 18 year old instant hot water tap has been a great upgrade. The water is hot enough to steep my tea without having to zap it in the microwave. Since it’s a reverse osmosis tap, I have clear hot water that gives me a great head start for boiling water for pasta or other cooking needs. But to have an immediate cup of really good hot tea on a cold day made this worth it’s very affordable price

Stopped working after 15 months. Zero hot water and the lights scroll around the dial, as mentioned in many other reviews. Very disappointed, as I understood Franke to be a quality brand. I've filed a warranty claim and will update this review when I get a resolution.

I chose this expensive brand because it is super easy to replace it without a handyman. These units only last about 3 years (this is my 3rd), so turn the temp down to about 3/4 so that it will not burn out sooner. As far as noise, there is a moderate refill sound after use, louder than the Bosch dishwasher, but i expect it. There is also some dripping from the nozzle as it refills, but I hear that this is common with all brands. If you have never had an instant hot water unit, you will wonder how you ever lived without one: using it in my coffee french press, melting cooked-on grime from dishes, adding it to items that I am already cooking on the stove (because cooler water interrupts the cooking process), etc. Don't forget to hook it up to your water purifier to avoid scale in your nozzle.

This is the second one I purchased and they seem to only last a year. First one 13 months before it died and this one died in the same exact time. I’ve tried getting replacements from Frankie, but it takes months.

The installation was very straightforward and simple. No plumbing leaks after filling the tank and later I had very hot water. This newer model has better controls on the temperature setting, as well as the ability to turn the heater off if you want.

TOTALLY FAILED AFTER 2 YEARS, WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.
