Good quality, perfect size for a portable strop
I use this to sharpen archery broadheads. It's the perfect size for that task, because it fits in my archery tackle box, yet is large enough to handle any three blade broadhead. The leather is attached to the board nicely and you have both the rough and smooth side to choose from. I primarily use the smooth side for this task. I've stropped many broadheads and it has held up just fine.

Love It!!!
I recently started collecting forged carbon steel knives. I got a nice little collection going so I decided that I needed to be able to maintain their sharpness. So, I bought this leather sharpening strop and began teaching myself how to sharpen my knives. I’m still learning but so far all is well. I’m happy with this purchase.

It works
The leather was not glued very well. I hand to put some more on.

Good product would only change 1 thing
Works just like it should. The only thing that I recommend is that instead of using 2 sided tape to put the leather on yhe board I would have preferred it had been glued.

Best strip I’ve found!
This is the best strop I’ve found anywhere! It helped hone my knives super sharp! I love how compact it is as well! It’s just a really good strop!

It’s okay.
The leather is poorly attached on mine.

Okay but not professional
this did work as a leather strop but was too rough of a surface for my mirror polished knife and left scratches on the blade

Did not find value
Maybe I am not using it correctly but I did not find any value in this over an 8000 or 10000 grit stone

Works well, Reasonably priced.
Very interesting product. I have a keen interest in knives and have been collecting them since I was young. A lot of people equate the quality of a knife to how sharp it comes from the factory and also how well it can keep that sharpness through use. Now, I also use cutting tools to clear lines in forests. As part of my job, we have to use what's called a "brush axe" to cut a straight line-of-sight through the forest for hundreds of meters. All this is to say I have a fair collection of blades to test on this strop.First, I'd like to say that leather is attached to the wood handle very well. With regards to applying the green compound, it's similar to applying buffing compound on a buffing wheel. It's a function of how clean the leather is, and how warm and malleable the compound is. The instructions say to try warming the leather and the compound with a blower dryer if you have trouble getting the compound to stick at first. The compound is a 0.5 microns Chrome Oxide compound. After some usage, you should clean the compound from the leather with some sandpaper and then applying a new coat. The purpose of the strop isn't to reprofile your edge or to take huge kinks out. Those have to be done with a grinder, and then a whetstone or a diamond sharpening stone. The purpose of the strop is to make an already sharp edge razor sharp, and also to maintain a sharp edge for longer. For these two purposes, it works well.Lastly, in regards to cost, it is very reasonably priced. To buy the compound and make a strop like this at home, you'd be spending nearly the same money, not considering how much effort you would have to put in.Through my testing, I was able to use this strop as the last step in sharpening some of my blades and it really put a razor sharp edge on them. I'll be using it frequently to maintain the sharp edge as a sharper edge makes for a much easier time cutting line through the forest.
