I confess I’m female. I adore this lightweight vest for hiking when it’s too hot for my waterproof. Why? Pockets! Big pockets, small pockets, zip pockets, little clippy pockets. Pockets for a phone, a tube of lip gloss, cards and cash, that little stone with the embedded fossil you found on the beach; pockets for tictacs, for sunglasses, for bus passes and for a face mask. Hidden zip ones for valuables, easy reach ones for dog poo bags.Men shouldn’t get to hog all the pockets. Ok, it’s not exactly glamorous- it’s made for fishermen and they aren’t known for their contouring and highlights - but if you prioritise practical clothing, and don’t care if you look like you’re chasing pike, this is the waistcoat for you. XXL about a 16.

I can't give this product any more than a one star despite being just the ticket on initial delivery and a very god fit. The pocket zips are fine but the gilet has a cheap plastic zip for the front which has failed completely despite only occasional use. Some previous comments about poor stitching seem to be borne out as well with numerous threads exposed over the whole garment where the pockets are. On this item, nothing coming apart, just appears to be messy finishing but this together with the poor quality zip has made this item untenable.

Great in theory, but a) it isn't denim-look fabric as the image shows (polyester), and b) when the pockets are in use the item is very uncomfortable, there are loads of great pockets, but any weight to the item and the seam digs painfully into the base of the neck. Have requested a return, and am getting one with a collar so the weight is spread across the shoulders more evenly.

This is lovely well made gilet with plenty of pockets, including two on the inside. most pockets are zipped, with the smaller ones having a Velcro tab. Plenty of space for smaller items, and the two largest pockets able to accommodate a mobile phone or a small camera.
