Didn't meet my needs as a beginner

Normalerweise suche ich im Internet nach Anleitungen, wenn ich ein besonders verzwicktes Renovierungsobjekt habe. Gerade beim Thema "Polstern" war das nicht so einfach. Bei der Suche nach einem passenden Buch fand ich dann die "Bible" und dachte, dass der Titel wohl recht frech ist, vielleicht ein wenig überheblich. Tatsächlich fand ich aber eine wirklich komplette Einführung in das Thema "Polstern". Neben Methoden und Bezugsmaterialien werden auch die notwendigen Werkzeuge vorgestellt und erklärt. Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass das Buch für einen professionellen Polsterer ein wenig dürftig ist. Aber für mein Hobby kann ich mir kein besseres Buch vorstellen. Einziger Nachteil: es fällt mir normalerweise nicht schwer, englischsprachige Romane oder Erzählungen zu lesen, aber bei diesem Buch brauchte ich doch ein wenig Zeit, um mich einzulesen und ganz ohne Wörterbuch ging es dann doch nicht. Ich denke aber, dass dies ganz normal ist, wenn man ein Fachbuch liest. Wer gelegentlich einen Stuhl oder einen alten Sessel renoviert und das Polstern nicht intuitiv beherrscht, findet in diesem Buch eine wertvolle Unterstützung.

This book is good to have because it has a lot of pictures and examples to follow. I recommande it.

Fantastic, tells you all you need tyo know to get started, with great photos and clear guidance. Great for a beginner like me and I was able to reupholster a complete armchair as well as re-springing it with the guidance from this book. As things get more complicated I'm sure I will need a further book to assist me. A great buy for a beginner.
