Hi everybody! I got this box as a rent drop box for my tenants. This thing is pretty hefty! It has a good deal of weight to it, and it is well built. The body of the box is welded steel, the interior comes with a little piece of carpet for the bottom, and the door is the same steel the body is made out of. I'm not sure what exact gauge the steel is, but it does not flex or bend. The slot is large enough for your average piece of mail, cash, etc.. pretty much anything business envelope size and flat. Individual keys will fit through the slot, but not with a ring attached. This box may also come in handy as a gun box, key box, or just personal secure storage of whatever will fit inside. The top inside edge of the door has a zig-zag edge to it, so if anyone tries to stick their fingers where they don't belong, they might get a boo-boo, or at least find it more difficult to get contents out of the slot.The lock is a tubular vending machine-type lock, which is decent and is not easily picked like regular key locks, which is good. Again, any lock can be picked, but this type takes some practice if you want to be silent about it. Of course, a decent drill would work but that takes time, and average scumbag thief wants to be in-and-out without drawing attention.I noticed another reviewer complaining that the hinge points are easily pryable, and I would have to disagree. Now, I didn't purposely try to break into the box, but this is not something that can be done with a screwdriver. The location of the hinge points are at a place where one would need to put some serious work into it with a huge pry bar, but it could probably be done. Let's face it. Nothing is impenetrable, and if a thief is determined enough, they WILL get what they want no matter how big and bad you think your security measures are. This is intended as nothing more than a deterrent and guard against your average smash-n-grab job.I also noticed another reviewer complaining that there are no instructions on how to mount it. Really? It's four screw holes, and it comes with 4 heavy lag screws AND 4 concrete anchors. Your choice based on your mounting place. It's fairly obvious what you're supposed to do with that stuff. Some people's kids, I swear.Anyway, great box! It's hefty enough to get the job done and easy to install and use unless you're a total simpleton. I'd highly recommend it!

This box does a good job. I'm using it as a rent drop for my tentants. Initially I did not know how to mount it to the concrete block so I contacted the manufacturer and all they said was "hire a general contractor". Really unhelpful. So, you can figure it out if I did, just youtube concrete anchors. These are a little different than the standard ones, but same idea.

The enclosure is plenty heavy but I suspect I could break into this safe in under five seconds using nothing more than a large flat-edge screwdriver. This is due to the dubious way the door attaches to the case which is by a 1/2" or so metal shaft with ends that barely protrude into the holes on either side of the enclosure. All one would have to do is pry one side of the case away from the door shaft -- 1 or 2mm would do it -- and the shaft would pop out of the hole and the door could be lifted away. Had I realizing this before tossing out the shipping box and installing the safe I would have returned it. As it stands I'm planning on replacing it as soon as I can research a better option.

Bolts on the top row a little difficult to install into the wall because of the front lid hinge gets in the way. Sweet box though.

Love this Box safe! It works percect for what I needed it and it is not too big. It is just right!

AAA product. Very durable! Very strong! Make sure you slide checks and cash in all the way (sideways) or they will hang inside the slot. If the lip were bent down this might not be an issue.

I bought this for rent payments and it works perfectly. It is easy to mount with the provided hardware, and is a good solid made drop box. It can be mounted in indirect weather but not in direct weather.
