Six Days, Seven Nights [Blu-ray]

Brilliant film, thoroughly enjoyable!Harrison Ford so enjoyable. Amusing and Ann Heche is a perfect companion.Brilliant support cast !

It would have got 5 stars if it wasn't for the Hollywood a) totally absurd 'escape from threat' and b) equally absurd flying nonsense at the end. A nice little Cary Grant / High Society / African Queen genre movie (and no, I'm not suggesting that Cary Grant was in High Society or African Queen).

I have watched this movie today for the Nth time and had a good laugh, again! I just can't help it. I love it. I have seen in a theater in Brussels when it first came out, then on various airplanes, and decided to buy the DVD on Amazon. I will probably get the Blue-ray disc when it comes out.I love the story: older man, cool, witty, rough, adventurous. That is me. Or at least it's what I'd like to be. Younger career woman, completely different from him, fashio freak, follows the rules but likes to break them: that is the woman I would like to meet. They eventually both change their ways because they fall in love with each other.The pace is great, lots of unpredictable twists and turns, quite a few memorable lines. My fav is when Ford realizes they have little chance of getting rescued and tells her: "We are going to be together on this island for a long, long, ... long, long, long time!". He says it so well, with all the right pauses!I have the impression the DVD version cuts out some parts: I seem to recall that in the theater version they actually make love on the island, while in my DVD they just kiss. Whatever.A good version of the tested stuck-on-an-island theme, but also a wake up call for all those who dream of finding paradise in the wild tropics.

We enjoyed this film very much - very little violence - and that for the bad chap's come-uppance! Funny and differentfor Harrison Ford - and none the worse for that!

if i wrote a proper review of this film, it'd be an essay. i love this film so much and have ever since i was a child, harrison ford and anne heche are incredible actors and this film is a romantic, comedic masterpiece.also a big fan of david schwimmer and here he really adds to the humour and wholesomeness of the film. lets just say this film is so good, that if i were ever stranded on an island i would only hope it would be with these two characters lol.highly, highly recommend even if its for rent/buy and not free (i did, watched it twice within 12 hours)

For those who want to watch two great actors in a different aspect as we are used to see. Very good and carrefull packing. Thank you.
