Perfect for use on a trip with short car rides.
Bought this for a recent trip and it was perfect! So easy to install in the Uber/hotel shuttle and then quickly store in our carry-on luggage. Exactly the solution we needed now that our son doesn’t need the car seat on the plane. Highly recommend!

Perfect for travel: durable and very compact
Love this product! Bought it a few years back pre-pandemic. It is perfect for travel. Folds so small, to put into our carry-on pocket. Multiple times it saved us when full sized checked boosters did not arrive in time for 4-5 yo, we could use it to get to the hotel. Now that kids are a bit older, we use the product on its own, not just as a fall back. The device makes the seatbelt appropriate height and safe for the child. So glad they are back in stock post pandemic now: recommended to several families.

Great product
I love the ideal of this product and for the most part I love the product. It takes up way less Space and is easy to travel with. Most importantly it still provides your child with security. I feel that my kids have been more secure in this than in a regular booster seat. My one complaint is that while it is easy to install once you get the hang of it, it’s more difficult for the children. In the older booster seats my boys were able to get in the car and get buckled and I did a quick check behind them. With this seat I pretty much have to buckle them in each time to ensure it’s completely on right. I do like that it’s not as easy for them to jump out of every time the car is stopped. That gives me a little more time when we go to places to get out of the car before they hop out the car into a parking lot. I really great product.

Perfect for traveling
It's perfect for travel - fits easily in the backpack for on the go and works especially well when you are constantly changing cars but don't want to carry a bulky booster everywhere.

Interesting Concept, But Impractical in Real-World Use
We brought this on vacation for short taxi and Uber rides, planning to leave the backless booster we had in our rental. While the idea is clever, it turned out to be more hassle than help and feels like it needs more product development.Despite promo photos showing a tidy, compact design, the long strap and bulky buckle don’t store neatly. It takes up space and tangles with everything in your bag when you pull it out.Installation looks easy in the demo video shot in a brightly lit studio. But in a dark taxi, a rainy curbside pickup, or with an impatient Uber driver, it’s a different story. The seat slides around, the car’s seatbelt gets caught in the narrow slots, and lining everything up with an actual child in the seat is a struggle.Getting it off was worse. The seatbelt often jammed in the clip, and you have to remove almost the entire unit before your child can get out. I once spent five stressful minutes trying to free it it while my child panicked - terrifying to think about having to do this in an emergency. Finally for our 5-year-old, the belt also sat too low - across the top of the thighs rather than the waist. In the end, we gave up and just lugged the regular booster around. The Mifold was so impractical it defeated the purpose of bringing it.It might work for carpooling with a patient friend or in a calm, well-lit setting. But in those situations, you’re better off just using a regular backless booster anyway.

So glad these finally are back in stock. Great for space saving in the car with multiple cars seats.

Small and uncomfortable
Seat is incredibly small. My daughter is using it now and has been screaming and complaining for the past 15 minutes on the way to the airport. Unfortunately we ordered for a trip so don’t have an alternative but it’s definitely making for an unpleasant ride for everyone in the car. She is a petite 6 year old, so I don’t know who this would fit. The seat part is smaller than a dinner plate.

Great spare seat
I saw the designer give a presentation for this seat at a Child Passenger Safety Conference and decided to give it a try. I bought one as a test seat for our 2 children who still need seatbelt adjustment. Our intention was to buy another if it worked for both kids as we have a smaller back seat and the space saving design was a huge bonus for us and their older brother who has been cramped by several booster seat trials. We have 2 very different sized children: a wirey boy, age 10, 4'4", 65 lbs; and a tough as bricks girl, age 6, 3'4”, 70 lbsWhat we determined:This is a great seat for my small framed 10 year old. He loves that he is not in a little kid booster seat and I love that he is being protected. He also loves that he has more padding in the seat than his previous booster seat. Long rides were always a struggle as he begged to stop frequently to get a break from his previous seat. However, our 6 year old, who is built differently, weighing more and with a wider hips, hated this seat. She complained that the plastic, adjustable sides pinched her and she really struggled with getting the seatbelt threaded correctly.Overall, we are pleased with the purchase and will continue to use the Mifold for our son as long as we can.
