First time installing vinyl flooring. The planks had padding but I wanted a little more. It was very easy to use and with a little care you won't tear it. It has a much better feel than the laminate flooring it replaced

The price and quality

Pros1) Good packaging2) Width and length are good for flooring3) black color with white grid lines helping in cutting4) Easy to work with5) Adhesion works really well when its attaches to the same material.Cons1) Adhesion is poor when its to the floor, which is the case with end unit, which makes it lift up2) Cuts easy, like even accidently skid marks damages the integrity of the material.3) Vinyl edges easily cuts through the material, especially while moving the planks, you can scratch/tear this material.4) quality of the product overall is much to be desired.

Installation was easy and quick!

We did use underlayment tape and stapled in corners to keep it in place. LVP Flooring required 1mm underlayment to qualify for Shaw flooring warranty. This was a 2nd floor install, so the concept of "soundproofing" appealed to me. However, sleeping downstairs I hear every foot step in the room above me...

The product is good, but it’s hard to cut it straight and you need to buy tape since it’s hard to keep it perfectly line up without help of tape

Sure, underlayment are a simple concept. However, after installing this underlayment my floor makes a bit of a crunching noise when I walk on it. This isn’t the case in another area without this underlayment. You get what you pay for, pony up a few bucks for something better.
