A friend of mine sent me a picture with this camera of his camp while he was monitoring snowfall. The picture was so clear you could see the shingle bumps on his roof.I bought one for myself and installed it this weekend. Total install time start to stop was about 2 hours. I had to run an extension cord to the shed where I mounted it as I don't have power there. The camera power is supplied by a usb cable which has a 110VAC adapter connected to it. You can connect via ethernet cable or wifi and I used wifi, 2.4Gb only. Won't use 5Gb. I was not happy with the mounting screws provided and instead provided my own 10-32 x 2.5" bolts with lock nuts. I also used a 1/2" backerboard because my shed is plastic and it felt I needed something more rigid to support the camera bracket (bracket and housing are both plastic). I used a 3/16" drill bit on the shed wall to drill the holes in it as well as the backerboard. Since the usb power connection runs from the middle of the housing I had to drill a hole through the side of the shed and backerboard to allow access for it in the middle of the 3 attachment screw locations.Overall a simple installation, just time consuming. So easy a caveman could do it!!

This camera is malfunctioning after 10 months and will not rotate it will only move up down. There is no “real” customer support, only troubleshooting and no one to answer questions on how to fix. I have reset the camera twice and it still won’t work. Will never buy from Yi Lot again!

The camera was easy to set-up and install. I have been able to control the camera from both my cell phone as well as my laptop. The quality of the picture is awesome when switched to HD and still fantastic on SD. I am using a 128gig sd card right now and might switch to cloud storage at a later date. I have not rated the night vision yet since it is still daytime, hoping to try it later tonight. I recommend purchasing this not only for the good price but the quality also. Less than a month and the ability for the camera to track left and right stopped working. Sending this unit back for a replacement hoping this one was defective only. Follow-up- the replacement camera came within two days and hooked up much quicker than the old one. So far this one seems to be working much better, fingers crossed.

Did you ever do something that was so easy and went so smoothly that you thought surely something was wrong. That was my thoughts while setting up and making this camera operational. For all practical purposes it sets itself up and it works flawlessly. The only thing it won't do is mount itself to the wall. Additionally I added the camera to my wife's iphone and my laptop without a hitch. Please keep in mind you hearing this from someone whose skill level in in these matters rates somewhere between nil and nada. I only wish that everything would work this well.

Mostly this camera is great. Two cons are as follows. 1, you need VERY good Wi-Fi for it not to lag when trying to move or view from the app. I ended up having to get a Wi-Fi extender and put it 10 feet away from the camera. My router is about 30 feet from the camera and i get 300mb up and down but that was not good enough. 2, motion sensing is too good. We had our first snow fall today and it was notifying me about motion just about every time a snow flake went by the lens. Annoying. With the exception of those two things the product is great.

I received the camera. The quality is good, the workmanship is fine, easy to install, and the resolution is high. I want such a camera. It is very convenient to use. The mobile phone can control it. It can be rotated up and down, and the monitoring range is very large. Very simple, the motion detection response is fast and the stability is good.

Unit works okay, but the motion detection is poor and will trigger from falling leaves, bugs and rain even on lowest sensitivity setting. Also, even though you have an SD card to record they lock viewing alerts to force you to sign up for cloud service. There are ways around it, but you have to continually change settings.

I ordered this camera for the front of our home in Florida. It was super easy to set up and Wifi set up was also easy. We have ordered other items that require IT knowledge and are very hard to understand. This camera set up in minutes on my Smart phone and is working well. Pleased with our purchase.
