The Ultimate Life

Mr. Stovall did a good job with writing the The Ultimate Gift, The Ultmate LIfe and The Ultimate Journey Triology.
This is the second book of the trilogy. The first book of the trilogy (The Ultimate Gift), is recommended reading before this book because it sets the foundation of the trilogy; while the other two books (The Ultimate Life and The Ultimate Journey) re-enforces the value of life set by "Red" Stevens. My mother has left me with many gifts and messages as Red left for his grandson. One gift was her favorite song entitled "If I can Help Somebody" by Mahalia Jackson. Each book is a different stage but working on the same things because there is no end when working on gifts, life and journey. It is definite that life does not stay the same, nor does it sit still, and it especially will not wait for no man. Gifts are just that gifts; and they are given because of love and kindness not because we deserve them.I am now reading the last book in the series "The Ultimate Journey" and it is my prayer that my life is leaving and will have left a positive, learning impact upon those whom we have had contact. My life is a blessing and continues to be blessed; therefore, the gifts, my life and my journey are not for me alone but for others as well so they too may be blessed.Mr. Stovall has done something I have not seen from any authors -- he has given his contact information and extended the olive branch to help some one along in life. I thank him for extending this olive branch to me too.

Well Worth Reading
The premise of this sequel to the book The Ultimate Gift (The Ultimate Series #1)  is that the greedy relatives are going after the will. For each of the twelve gifts, Jason must demonstrate not only that he has earned the gift, but that he has learned how to pass it on to others. What one can learn from this book is how to pass on the ultimate gift to others.Like the first book, the structure is somewhat boring, but the lessons presented are excellent. If you can get around each lesson being presented in essentially the same way, the content of the lessons are enjoyable and very well worth your time to read this book.If you saw the movie The Ultimate Gift  but didn't read the book, you can jump right in with reading this book, or you can go back and read The Ultimate Gift first. I went from movie to this book and then the first book, and had no trouble with it.

Wonderful story
I received this book as a gift a few years ago and loved the story so much I decided to buy it for my Granddaughter as I had given my book away. I would like to get one for each of my Grandchildren and special friends. It's a wonderful story with a great message.

phenomenal
Nothing teaches like a story. The golden list alone made this worth reading. I will recommend this series to many.

Very disappointed.
This book is not a sequel to the first book. It was written as a sequel, but since the movie was nothing like the first book he had to change things.First he changes the main character from a grand nephew to a grandson. The first book never said that Jason was ashamed to be related to Red Stevens. The first book never mentioned the lawyer Hamilton as being black, but this book makes sure you know because in the movie he was black. I have no trouble with a black character, but let's just keep it the same! The kidnapping by drug lords in South America was not in the first book at all (but was in the movie) and so he tried to work that into this book, but it doesn't work at all.He changes the nurse of the little girl with cancer to he mother. In the first book there was NO romance at all, nor did it ever mention Jason meeting the mother. In the first book the girl was just one of the several people with problems whom Jason encountered, but in this book she is the only one mentioned. In the book the amount of money involved is one billion and this book it is several billion.I just wish the author had stuck to his own story and had not tried to incorporate Hollywood into his book. This is very disappointing to me since I really liked the first book and hoped this book would be just as good. It has its good elelments

The Ultimate Gift #1
I read this book with my 8th grade class. They were very interested, and could not wait for our reading time again. The class learned valuable lessons, and realized how important the smallest of things in your life could really mean the most. I would recommend this book, other books in the series and the movie. It is a great lesson for all ages to learn.

The Ultimate Life
Another great book from Jim Stovall in the Ultimate Gift Series. This book was a lot of repetition from The Ultimate Gift book...the first in the series. It does provide a lot of information on Jason Stevens character though, so it is a valuable read. It doesn’t take long to read, but the concepts and rules by which we should all consider living our lives still apply. Thank you, Mr Stovall, for these words and thoughts... Very life changing.
