Can only turn down so much
Its perfect for my 6 year old. Only thing to note is the volume is off or up loud. You cannot turn the sound to low, its more of a medium to loud. But they are drums, so.

This is a hit with the 7 and 9 year old. Here's the ups and downs:Pros:1. The pads are sensitive, so no need to hit to hard to get sound (good for littler kids)2. Headphone jack! If you're done listening to them, plug in the headphones!Cons:1. Even the lowest setting volume is pretty loudOverall, it's a good gift and the settings are robust for such a reasonable price.
