Received today, exactly what I was looking for. 2pack of the 3” X 4” candles. Durable outdoor LED candle with auto timer. Warm amber flickering glow, IP44 waterproof rating to withstand rain and water splashing. Battery compartment and on/off switch are protected in a silicone ringed sealed chamber with a twist off cap at the under side base of the candle. Perfect size for my application in homemade patio lanterns/plant stands. Can’t judge the battery life yet as I have only used it one day, but I expect with the auto timer the 2X AA batteries will last sufficiently long. The full height of the candle illuminates evenly except for about the bottom 1/4 inch which is a bit dimmer than the rest. Not an issue for my application. Overall it is brighter than a similar candle I bought from a popular red bull’s eye retailer. It has a recessed virtual flame feature in the top center which is brighter than the surrounding candle surface, adding a bit of realism, with a sculpted top edge imitating a natural melt. Very pleased with the purchase, was available for Amazon Prime free one day shipping.

Most definitely not waterproof. These have been in hanging lanterns off the side of a pergola for about 5 months. They stopped working about a month ago, and I just assumed the batteries had died. I went to replace them for Halloween season, and all 4 of them had water inside and are ruined. It looks like the water came in through the top where the flame is. While the bottom of these candles has a very solid twist in seal, it doesn’t do squat if water can penetrate through the top. “Waterproof” is absolutely false advertising. MAYBE water resistant, but there’s no way all 4 should have failed in a semi-protected enclosure if they were truly waterproof. Stay away if these will be exposed to any rain.

I’ve gone through several of the 5” exterior LED timer candles - but they all have had the exasperating “feature” of a battery cover that is held in place with teeny-tiny screws that take a really small screwdriver to open it. And, over time, the screw rusts and is even harder to remove!!But, this candle has solved this problem by using an ingenious method of the entire bottom (with a waterproof gasket) unscrewing to replace the batteries!!WAY TO GO!I’ll certainly buy from this company again!

These candles are awesome. I put them in old outdoor lanterns and have no worries about fire. They shine brightly and twinkle just like candles. The timer is so nice to keep set for your evening hours. The remote is a great way to spoil yourself.

Good value for the money. East set up for both batteries and timer. Once timer is set, get ready to regularly enjoy the glow nightly at the same time with no effort on your part. My only issue is that I wish the flicker was a bit more pronounced to add to the candle's realism but at the price point I can't really complain. The "candles" haven't yet been tested by the weather, so it will be interesting to see how they perform over time.

I purchased these candles to use in my house even though they were advertised as outdoor candles. These would look fine outdoors but inside they looked cheap. They were a very hard plastic, I was looking for led candles made with wax and have been unable to find the size and color I needed so I thought I would try these. They would have been fine for outside but didn’t care for them in my living room. It was my mistake trying to make them work. I also didn’t get a remote like the description said.

I have these in handing lanterns on a wooden privacy fence. They look great and function as designed. However, after a rain, I discovered water in the battery compartment, shorting out the circuit. After drying and fresh batteries, worked again. I drilled drain holes in the bottom of the lanterns and raised the candles off the lantern floor with some plastic lids from another container. This solved the problem. Would recommend, if precautions are taken to limit sitting in water.

I bought these for some lanterns on our deck. I was looking for something water resistant with a timer. These seemed to fit the bill by description. 2 AA batteries were easy to install. Not sure what the issue was for some posts that said the door was difficult to get back on. Mine screwed in just as easily as it screwed out. Both worked right out of the box. The 'flickering' seemed realistic enough to me. I haven't had them long enough yet to run the timer. I'll report back in a day or so. So far it's exactly what I wanted.

Over the years I've purchased a lot of these battery powered 'candles'. These are BY FAR the best I've ever had. Received them quickly, set them up in a minute and haven't touched them again. They've been on every night for the past month and a half. They look great in the Ikea lanterns I have them in. I would definitely buy these again.
